I knew exactly what I wanted from the fridge before I opened its door.

So why have I spent the last minute staring blankly into it wondering what the hell I opened it for
 
It’s very surprising that someone I can’t usually hold a single conversation with just gave me some great advice. I’m actually impressed, I didn’t think he had it in him 😂
 
Just learned that Brett Goldstein has a podcast and I found one my favorite vibrator that had been missing. Today is a GREAT day.
 
I took a stroll down memory lane today and visited some years old GB threads on which I was one of the subjects of lit drama. I was shocked at how much time had passed, and I find myself thinking how often there is drama between people on this site (particularly in the GB and the PG because there are just more people and more activity on these forums, although chat seems to take the cake with drama). There are always at least 2 versions of every story and I do wonder how things might be different if people would step back and consider that they don't know everything when going on the attack.

In my case, I lost a few friends. That likely turned out for the best; learning who would bail on you rather than support you when you find yourself the target of gossip and attacks really does let you know who your friends are. I gained a few friends, too, people who reached out to me and asked for my side. I've never denied anything I have said or done on or related to this site, but I have had lies spread about me, too. Later, a whole made up drama about me took place on the GB, too. Shrug.

Ah, I guess this whole rant is to implore people to remember that there are real people on the other end of the interpersonal drama and very few people tend to know the whole stories when things go down. One of the reasons I am happy to be a mod is to have the ability to help people when they find themselves in situations like these. Also, I love this place and want to help keep it as safe as possible.

This. I've been in the middle of it a few times, and I was always surprised to see how many picked sides, without knowing all of it. Even many that were once very close with me, picked sides. It hurt a lot at the time. But like you said. Sometimes it was for the best in the long run.
 
Cliques be cliques. Look at society as a whole. Is it any different there? Some people never leave high school. But when you have been here as long as I have...when drama does blow up...it rarely surprises me who is involved.

However, I disagree there are two sides to a story. There are three. Yours...mine...and the truth

I've always said Yours, mine, and somewhere in the middle. ;)

Yeah, or even more versions. It really depends on who and how many people are involved.

I'm 'thinking' that I should pack my backpack now--, since she got her settlement on the way, I'm gonna just be in the way...so get out now before Spring hits and she makes me an offer I won't refuse.
