Liberal talk show host Bill Maher trashed leftists on a myriad of issues Maher continued to slam his own party, "When normal people read that San Francisco has basically legalized shoplifting, they think, 'Democrats have gone nuts.'"

Maher then lambasted progressive members of the "Squad" — far-left Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, and Jamaal Bowman — for demanding that rent and mortgages be canceled, calling for abolishing the police and prisons, and declaring that "capitalism is slavery."

Maher slammed overbearing progressives for "canceling Lincoln and Dr. Seuss, teaching children they're oppressors and math is racist, making Mr. Potato Head gender-neutral, and now an emoji for pregnant men."

"California just passed a law requiring large retailers to have a non-gendered toy section," Maher stated. "We need a law for that? Do you have to inject yourselves into everything? From where you can throw a frisbee to who can braid hair?"

The GOP went from the party of Reagan to Putin's bitch

Walter Russell Mead:

If Trump were the Manchurian candidate that people keep wanting to believe that he is, here are some of the things he’d be doing:

Limiting fracking as much as he possibly could
Blocking oil and gas pipelines
Opening negotiations for major nuclear arms reductions
Cutting U.S. military spending
Trying to tamp down tensions with Russia’s ally Iran.

You know who did all those things? Democrats.

I was told that Maher is an imbecile....I'll have to check those sources again....

He's clearly not, he just uses his brain. I wish I could say the same of you and your cohort here.

Maher is a common villain on the right, but I depart from my fellow mossbacks here. I've always respected his independence and willingness to have on those with whom he disagrees, and to give them a respectful hearing. It's the same reason I respect what Rogan does. I'd never say that about Maddow, Lemon, Hayes etc.

It's from The Matrix.

In politics, the alt-right adopted it before anyone else did.

Taking the red pill is synonymous with converting to alt-right views.[170] A red pill is something — news, text, or meme — that justifies alt-right views. A red-piller is someone who has converted to alt-right views or someone who converts others to alt-right views. Red-pilling or dropping red pills is the act of recruiting people to the alt-right cause. Someone who has taken the red pill is based. Someone who has not taken the red pill is bluepilled or cucked. A hard red pill is an argument that they think is really convincing.

The term is a reference to The Matrix (1999)|, in which taking the red pill means learning the truth about society to which most others remain happily oblivious, while taking the blue pill means remaining part of the sheeple and believing that nothing is wrong. Alt-righters use this terminology as a means of advocating for (ironically enough) a more traditional way of life; in most cases, this requires the belief that progressiveness and social equality are the oppressive status quo and that the authoritarian bigotry upheld by the alt-right is subversive and revolutionary. That way, you can act like a fascist and still feel like you're speaking truth to power. The alt-right sense of the term 'red pill' was originally used by Curtis Yarvin (Mencius Moldbug), the founder of the neoreactionary movement.[359][360]

For humor: the term references the pill provided by a black man in The Matrix, which enlightens one about the flaws in the system in a movie made by two transgender women, and is an allegory for the coming out process of transgender people, with the pill itself representing HRT medication.[361] Or: alt-righters can't even watch The Matrix right.

It just seems like a right wing thing because the Left is so wrapped up in creating an alternate reality of deception.

It's the right doing that, not the left. "Alternative facts" are RW. Delegitimizing the mainstream media is RW.

Hmm..yah...I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere.,...on this forum..by a group of people

Nah, just has some semblance of actual liberal values.

That's why he's got the left so fucking triggered. :D

You're sure of bullshit, I've been a Maher fan since the early 2000's.

You forget, I'm a liberal.... who's just not a woke bigot and actually liberal not a control freak leftist, thus my no longer being a Democrat as of 2018 ..... that doesn't make me a conservative. :D

Of course you are.

Yup. Literally grew up on Politically Incorrect.

Even have a few DVD's like Religuious, 'but I'm not wrong' , Club Med and Pizza Man.

Absolutely. You and Maher are two peas in a pod.

Reagan would have been repulsed by Trump and his pussy Russia policy.

Those are all common-sense things worth doing. You needn't be pro-Russian to see that.
