Omicron Now Responsible For Nearly Every New COVID-19 Case: CDC

excellent news

the endemic is on last legs

Last legs? The UK, France and the USA are seeing record infections every day.

Even if a smaller percentage need a hospital because Omicron is less virulent, a smaller percentage of a much larger number of people with Omicron can still cause problems in hospitals. In the UK our recent hospital admissions are 61% unvaccinated, and 90% haven't had the booster. The stupidly unvaccinated are causing problems for people with other (non-Covid) serious conditions.

Even people with recent cancer diagnoses are having to wait because so many hospital staff are dealing with Covid cases, or are off work with Covid themselves.

While data are still being studied for the fast-moving variant, some researchers say Omicron taking over could be good news.

Scientists at the Africa Health Research Institute in Durban recently conducted a small study that found people infected with Omicron — and especially those who have been fully vaccinated — developed a higher immunity to Delta.

“The research, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, involved 15 vaccinated and unvaccinated Omicron patients in South Africa, according to Bloomberg News, which noted that two were excluded because they didn’t detectably neutralize Omicron,” the New York Post reported. “The authors, led by Alex Sigal and Khadija Khan, found that while the neutralization of Omicron increased 14-fold over 14 days after the enrollment, there also was a 4.4-fold increase in neutralization of the Delta variant.”

“The increase in Delta variant neutralization in individuals infected with Omicron may result in decreased ability of Delta to re-infect those individuals,” the authors said, adding that the findings are “consistent with Omicron displacing the Delta variant, since it can elicit immunity which neutralizes making re-infection with Delta less likely.”

If Omicron can displace Delta to become the main variant, that could be big news because Omicron, while up to 70 times more contagious, seems far less likely to land sufferers in the hospital.

The endemic would never be overcome. But, the pandemic still exists

As I’ve said many times. Nobody, literally nobody in America cares about what happens to people who believe that a “Queen” who wears diapers, “royalty!” Makes us laugh!

Stick to your third world island!

Humans need something to fear. Omicron will peter out and we will find something else to get our panties in a twist over.

We just all need to catch it. Natural immunity is superior and will choke the next variant out.

We need to rip the bandaid off. Just get sick for a couple of weeks and then this will pretty much be over.

If only virologists and immunologists considered that approach and completely rejected it because of all the deaths.

As of a couple of days ago, 61% of UK hospitalisations are from the unvaccinated. 90% have not had the booster. Our hospitalizations are growing daily - mainly from Omicron and the unvaccinated.

So, over a third of the people hospitalized for vaccinations got the jab and still got sick, eh?

What if your birth control failed 39% of the time. Would you consider that effective?

There is birth control that fails at a rate above 0%

You believing the binary all or nothing bullshit seems to be a mental block

The major part of that 39% had not been completely vaccinated. Only 9 or 10% of the total hospitalised had had the booster. What is known is that any vaccination reduces the risk of serious illness and death.

The worrying figure is the number unvaccinated. They are 60% of those in hospital, yet less than 8% of the population.
