Florida Giving CRT the Hard Goodbye

Just a reminder what Que said CRT was.

Not "is," but an example. Like if someone asks you what a bird is and you show him a robin. Not all birds are robins, but all robins are birds. And what I posted there is a typical, but mild, way of worming CRT into the pedagogy.

But you and your pals know all this. You're not leaping the lenghts of your chains beause I'm wasting my time, tilting at windmills.

There’s no argument against your subjective opinion, but what lies is CRT based on?

That racism permeates American society and institutions, and that it is present in all interactions. It's a lie they don't even try to prove.

There is no need to try and prove it, though nobody said all in any true sense of the word. But we all know its true.

That wouldn’t be putting CRT into the pedagogy that would be putting it into the curriculum, and in Florida that’s already in the curriculum.

No one is leaping at anything, we’re all just enjoying you tilting at windmills and not having a clue what you’re talking about.

Something that pervasive and all-encompassing should be a breeze to prove, to point to laws, institutions, etc. that are racist. They don't even try, nor do you. You know it's baloney no matter how thin you slice it.

No, Sarge. What the curricum is is math. They're teaching math. And they're using CRT to do it. That's pedagogy.

Pedagogy, most commonly understood as the approach to teaching, is the theory and practice of learning, and how this process influences, and is influenced by, the social, political and psychological development of learners. - Wiki

You literally just posted the definition of a word but you’re still using it wrong.

I stand on my posts. Every one.

Stand on or stand by? Either way, you can do that if you want, but they're wrong. You were asked for a cite from a CRT textbook and you provided two quotes from books that, although tangentially related, were not CRT textbooks.

Yes, they do try to prove it. Disagree all you want with the actual argument they make, but to say they "don't even try to prove it" is a lie and you know it (if you've really read the books you claim to have read here - but then I already doubted that). And honestly, how can you argue that racism doesn't permeate a country whose founding document defines African-Americans as three fifths of a person and where owning them as property was legal for most of the first century of its existence? I can see why you don't like it and would rather believe it wasn't true - so would I - but that's a different question.

No, its not, what I know is you are attempting to pretend the past has no bearing on the present and future for starters. https://ccrjustice.org/files/CCR-Stop-and-Frisk-Fact-Sheet-2011.pdf Unless 2011 is ancient history in your mind that should be game set and match.

I guess redlining is such a non-issue that the DOJ is combatting it

Now here is where the fun starts, if POCs are focused in certain areas of low income and property values that directly affects the schools, thus colleges, thus future prospects.

Oh and please tell me all about the POC in this country who can trace their wealth back to 1776 because not only did they have the wealth they made essentially ALL the rules until the late 1800s. That gives about 120 years to get out of pov. . .shit that isn't when Segregation ended is it? No? Surely you can tell me that the date is farther back than. . .the 60's which means you've still got a significant population alive who were for that.

This is a good one. I have two choices as a minority, adhere to a culture that isn't mine right down to the NAME or reduce my childs odd of success by fifty fucking percent and if the numbers are that bad just on call backs imagine what they must be when you get your foot in the door.

Do you have a better reason why we still can't be nice to Puerto Rico but we're pretty much okay with Russia as long as they don't act a fool and even then. I remember they invaded Georgia. What has PR done on that level?

You send me on a goose chase assuming I don't know where they are. You do this because, like you're entire crew you're a racist peice of shit.

We should talk about Native Americans, the Obama/Trump years because those are relevant too. After all Trump was not nominated for being the best. He was nominated specifically to own libs. This was not Hillary v Trump if you were a Republican.

Stuck on the far past, because the last 60 years and current situation doesn't have enough racism.

My father came here a war orphan in the 50's....he did well as have many other POC's.

You're thirsty as fuck for racism. Why?

Except going back in the past.

BUhh BUhhh!!! 70 years ago!!!!

The first story is just over a decade. And 70 years means the damages done are still there. And you're glossing over the name issue too. Sorry you lost.

All you have left is laughing, no facts, no figures. You can't argue about education or being born to wealth. You can only laugh and hope redicule will be treated as inteligent discourse. At least Tucker Carlson yells loud.

The first story is just over a decade.

And?? It's a story and probably from a leftist bullshit site I wouldn't trust with my used toilet paper.

And 70 years means the damages done are still there.

It also means anyone not a Sr.Citizen is full of shit and a crybaby loser.

And you're glossing over the name issue too.

What name issue??

Sorry you lost.

I'm an upper middle class POC....no, I didn't lose, that's why I'm not a (D) begging for the welfare state to come wipe my ass for me and tell me how to live.

All you have left is laughing, no facts, no figures.

I have ALL of the facts. That's why you have to get historical and pretend it's still 1830 to support your bullshit.

You can't argue about education or being born to wealth.

Why would I argue about totally unrelated shit??

You can only laugh and hope redicule will be treated as inteligent discourse. At least Tucker Carlson yells loud.

No the ridicule is a response to the lack of intelligent discourse from the race baiters.

You can tell the same lie a thousand times but it never gets anymore true.

Glad to hear you do understand that after all. But your comments on here make it abundantly clear that you've never even tried to educate yourself about what CRT really is. Which means you have no way of knowing if its proponents have ever tried to prove it. Those of us who have read a book or two on the subject know that - setting aside whether or not we agree with their arguments - they have in fact gone to great lengths to support their arguments. No amount of closing your eyes to that reality will change it.

Honestly Goth if you aren't going to start by accepting that long term wealth gathering sets the table I don't even know what to say to you. You are ignoring reality SO fucking hard that I should start with explaining how Hulk Hogan and Rocky wasn't a real fight.

Stand on or stand by? Either way, you can do that if you want, but they're wrong. You were asked for a cite from a CRT textbook and you provided two quotes from books that, although tangentially related, were not CRT textbooks.

So? My citations were from recognized experts in the subject. That they were not "text books" takes nothing away from my responses anymore than had I been sent off to find a CRT citation in Urdu and been unable to provide it. It was, and is, irrelevant to the debate.

Yes, they do try to prove it. Disagree all you want with the actual argument they make, but to say they "don't even try to prove it" is a lie and you know it (if you've really read the books you claim to have read here - but then I already doubted that). I absolutely love the 3/5 argument. I suppose you'd have counted slaves as whole persons, right?

There's no doubt that racism, systemic racism, was present in the US before. That is long gone, and if anything, laws today tilt the playing field in the other direction. CRT boosters cannot show that systemic racism even exists, much less that it's a sinificant factor in the lives of Amerians.

There's a lot to unpack here, but suffice to day that cops stopped and frisked blacks and latinos for the same reason Willie Sutton robbed banks: That's where the money is. And in doing so, the lives of thousands of blacks and latinos were spare. So is it racist to want to keep black and latino folks from being murdered?

The DoJ can launch initiatives all it wants. It doesn't mean that it's being done.

And I don't know where you went to school, but every urban school district I can think of spends as much or more than most of the majority-white schools do, and with disastrous results. Whatever the problem is, it ain't money.

is that so? hmmm....

...didn't even have to try hard in blowing your self-serving bullshit out the water.

there's nobody in Klan regalia, nobody burning crosses on lawns, no snaggletoothed Jethros in gas station overalls waving confederate flags, none of that guff.

just good ol' everyday casual American activity at work.

that's what happens when you have money and your credit's straight.

that's what happens when you got a respectable job and you speak straight english with no slang and your educational pedigree is tighter than vacuum sealing and your record is cleaner than the board of health and your pants don't sag.

sometimes you can even hail a cab and it'll stop for you.

but this shit still happens. in the year of our Lord twenny-twenny whatever.

just one example out of many I could drop but don't give enough of a shit to do so. there are stories that don't and won't make the news and your privilege shields you from all of it. I bet Janette Miller goes to church every Sunday thinking her shit don't stink, just like you.

keep chasing your CRT windmills, Don Peyote. reckon it's good exercise for your heart.

Not even an anecdote. It's reality.

of course, you can't accept it, hence the disposable blurt. at least you were smart enough to not attempt an actual refute, because there is none to make. you may be a schmuck in service to your party masters, but you ain't that dumb. ;)

Ooooo....that's so dramatic!

So naturally this lawsuit will fail because doing this is perfectly legal, right?
