So what?
Hostile work environment is what. That's the OP's point, along with hostile educational environment.
There is no explanation of it, either. You have provided nothing to actually indicate the presence of CRT in the "praxis."
You actually think a lawsuit of that kind can be grounded on HR giving racial sensitivity training? It cannot, and there is no reason why it should be.
A small example:
Detroit’s school superintendent, Nikolai Vitti, says critical race theory is deeply embedded in his school system: “Our curriculum is deeply using critical race theory, especially in social studies, but you’ll find it in English language arts and the other disciplines. We were very intentional about…embedding critical race theory within our curriculum.”
https://www.cnsnews.com/index.php/c...-race-theory-even-education-reporters-falsely
Note that it's not curriculum, it's the pedagogy, the praxis.
So,
1. You're claiming that you know more than the school superintendent.
2. You still don't understand the difference between those two words.
More on how CRT is woven into subjets that have nothing to do with CRT:
2. How do educators have to adjust their curriculum to embed critical race theory and anti-racism?
By consciously and intentionally utilizing marginalized voices and experiences in the teaching of their respective disciplines, educators can disrupt the default European orientation of the American education system.
By strategically integrating the eclectic histories of their respective fields and incorporating more diverse examples and experiences into their curriculum, K-12 educators validate the lives and contributions of marginalized and disadvantaged communities. It is important that students see themselves as creators of knowledge, as well as, consumers of education.
So math will now focus on the stories of marginalized groups who, presumably, don't do math very well. Ditto Chemisty and Physics. So expect kids to know a lot less about math, physics and chem very soon.
Is this a joke? It's the entire premise behind the drive for "equity."
Your "proof" was simply a bunch of other anti-CRT screeds that were no more honest about what CRT really is than you ever are.It is a proven tenant of CRT. I've already posted the proof in the past. You can look it up by searching my posts.
“The relevant point for now is that all white people are racist or complicit by virtue of benefiting from privileges that are not something they can voluntarily renounce.” From Being White, Being Good: White Complicity, White Moral Responsibility, and Social Justice Pedagogy, by Barbara Applebaum, p. 16.
"…a positive white identity is an impossible goal. White identity is inherently racist; white people do not exist outside the system of white supremacy.” From White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, by Robin DiAngelo, p. 149.
Neither of those is a CRT book. They're about white privilege and systemic racism, which are related but separate and distinct from CRT.
Kinda interesting that those most interested in defending CRT don't have a dog in the fight. No children, not even grandchildren.
This isn't racial snsitivity training.
Kinda interesting that those most interested in defending CRT don't have a dog in the fight. No children, not even grandchildren.
And here's the fact that belies all their shrill denials and evasions: They say it's not being taught or done in schools, but goddamn it, Desatanist had better not ban it from schools! They're lying, they know they're lying and are desperate to put the genie back into the bottle.
What DeSantis and his ilk want to do goes way beyond CRT. These idiots want to ban Margaret Atwood, FFS!
Both authors are CR Theorist and practicers, writing about race consistent with CRT.
Kinda interesting that those most interested in defending CRT don't have a dog in the fight. No children, not even grandchildren.
I'll give you an example, since you two are impervious to abstraction:
Imagine this word problem given to students in Math class:
"Twenty settlers move onto 500 acres of Choctaw land in January.
In February, the settlers determine they need more land and have the cavalry force the Choctaw off another 600 acres. The Choctaw are paid with ten gallons of whiskey. How much is each gallon of whiskey worth in terms of stolen land?"
The course says "Math." No CRT found on any text or materials.
What is being taught here?
Just a reminder what Que said CRT was.
Perhaps (although you haven't actually shown any evidence of that, only of your own inaccurate view of what CRT is). But you posted those quotes in response to a request for "a chapter from a CRT textbook being forced upon children in the classroom", and those books are neither CRT textbooks, nor are they being forced upon children in any classroom.
For that matter, they also don't say what you claimed they said, that "white people are born oppressors who cannot be redeemed." They do say all white people have white privilege whether they want it or not, and that white identity is rooted in racism (as opposed to, say, identity as having ancestry in any one part of Europe - not Irish-American, Polish-American, etc., but simply "white"). But that's not the same as saying they're "born oppressors" or "cannot be redeemed".
