Imagine if you could legally sell something to someone, that they couldnt have until they were dead, and no one would know if you had given it to them? that would make motor insurance seem like a scam.

You tell me.

Joel Osteen house pictures
Joel Osteen house is not just your ordinary looking house. It is better to say that he owns a castle instead of a house. The famous tele-evangelist and award winning author is well known all over the world. Even though he is from Houston, he is well known across the globe for his TV shows and preaching. He is one of the senior pastors at one of America’s biggest protestant churches known as Lakewood. For a long time, the celebrated preacher worked behind the scenes as he produced Lakewood’s shows when his father was the preacher. After the passing of his father in 1999, Joel had to step in. I once purchased a horse. Before it could be transported to me, it died. I told the seller to go ahead and deliver it to me and he asked what I would do with a dead horse. I told him I was going to raffle it off.

A few weeks later he asked about the horse and I told him I sold 1000 tickets at $5 each. He said, "well wasn't the winner mad about winning a dead horse?"

"Of course", I said, "I gave him his $5 back and cleared $4,995"

Kinda like the lottery only with no payout whatsoever. Still, it gives poor bastards with no mathematical skills a sense of hope. :)

indeed,

Bell book and candle, the fraudsters tool kit.

I will admit that there are some leaders who may use it to take advantage of others financially. And, yes, there are a few who are just flat out hypocrites who want to impress and just appear transformed.

However, the majority are people trying to live their best life while seeking answers that we may never know on this earth but have faith in finding out in the next.

I was once banned from Facebook for posting "white Christians are the worst".

Somebody once asked me what they should think. I replied that they had to pay me money first, so they did.

After I told them, they asked what would happen if they thought something else. I told them that there were no refunds and they would be unhappy after they died.

Your point?

Depends on who organizes it.

I would submit that it's less fraudulent than most of government...

Who says the lottery pays out?

Have you ever met a lottery winner?

Me, either.

I've met a scratcher winner.

It was a very costly win, like being Wiccan or Whole Foods Vegan...

Lotto is the worst form of legalized fraud; violates the separation of church and state.

You can't tell me that those are not "True Believers."

religion is fraud, who the fuck appointed the pope as god on earth? or any archbishop as gods mouth piece?
Christianity invented hell and satan as a way to terrify people into following the doctrine of whatever church they were pushing,

Your point?
religion is snake oil.

fairly low bar there bro,

I agree with you 99%. However, Christianity didn't invent heaven and hell, they stole it from all the religions before them. Seems to be a reoccurring theme with them.

Most people need some sort of religion. Atheists commonly believe in science, progress, etc. to deliver a thinly disguised Christian future. As people lose faith in progress, they commonly go back to the big t. That may last a generation, with the next generation finding new religions completely outside the Christian/progress beliefs.

GOD answers prayers.

The answer may be NO or not now or OK but you are not going to like the out come.

As for those Fakers,Scammers,Thieves and Cheats don't worry about them.

They will get what is coming to them.

Just make sure YOU are not one of them.

Amen.

But the One True Church, the Church of the SubGenius, offers a money-back guarantee!

The Church of the SubGenius offers a guarantee that no other religion dares to offer: Eternal Salvation, or TRIPLE Your Money Back! Should eternal damnation result from any SubGenius product or service, "Bob" will meet you at the gates of Hell, with a $105.00 check in one hand and a copy of his bestselling book, "Hell on Five Cents an Eternity" (only $104.96, including tax) in the other!

But Christianity did invent the doctrine of salvation by faith. The Zoroastrians never said, you have to be a Zoroastrian or go to Hell.

That's the majority of Christians -- not the majority of clergy.
