Where Is My Author's Inbox?

Hello. When I submit feedback to a member through the "Contact" tab, successful submission references an inbox we can check if we leave our email address. For the life of me, I cannot find this mythical inbox. At the risk of looking like an idiot, would someone please tell me how to access this feature?

To be clear, I know where the inbox for private messages is HERE, but not for my author/chat profile.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Update: I really AM an idiot. LOL! There's no obvious way to access an inbox from my control panel, but I can receive feedback through my registered email address, so I assume that's what's meant by the author receiving messages at one's inbox. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's it.

Suggestion: It would be nice to send/receive messages directly through the control panel instead of having to go through one's email account. Thanks again.

Feedback goes to your email address, but private messages go to your literotica inbox. Look at the top right corner of your screen where it says "Welcome, Brianna..." and under that you will see "Private Messages."

Click on private messages and you will get to your message menu within Literotica, and there you will see.... ta da.... your inbox. :D

Thank you for responding, but it seems like I wasn't clear with my request. What I'm looking for is the inbox on my control panel at literotica.com rather than forum.literotica.com.

I found where I can send/receive messages HERE, but not there. I hope I'm explaining this properly.

Again, thank you very much for your help.

it's not clear what you're looking for. or maybe i'm dense? all i know about are PMs and then comments on stories/scenes. feedback also comes via email cause i turn off voting and comments - no interest in the votes and the anon comments, in the main, aren't worth bothering with.

can you give clarity to your search?

Hello :)

For example, say I write a story for Literotica and post it in the NonConsent/Reluctance section, then you want to send me some kind of response. I should be able to read your feedback from my inbox, right? I know if you include your email address, I'll receive that in my own personal email. However, I want to know if there's a way to have a more anonymous conversation without exchanging that information.

Here on the forum, we can exchange messages with no problem so that's not my issue.

I am SO sorry if I'm causing more confusion here. I really do appreciate your taking the time to assis.

in my experience, feedback comes via email or by comments immediately below the last page in the submission. unless things have altered, that’s it.

Cool! That's been my experience too. I just wanted to know if there was a way to have a conversation without exchanging personal email addresses.

Thanks again. You rock! :)

use something like yahoo and make up an email address solely for Lit. Saves personal security - and if you write Loving Wives, personal security is vital!

I looked for the mythical inbox too after my first story hahaha
Then I tried sending myself feedback to see what happens, and it showed up in my email

yes, that's what happens.
Yep. Can confirm! LOL! I did the same thing. And thanks for the excellent advice to set up a separate email just for Lit. I just made one for myself and I think that will make things much easier for me.

seriously, personal security is a must. i've been here awhile and discovered there are some absolute nutters out there.

Haha! I often doubt my OWN sanity, so I'm positive that there are plenty of other nutters out there as well. :)

Geronimo's right. There are some absolute nutters out there, REAL nutters, and you do get some very weird messages now and then, especially as a female (or using a female name, as some do). Some people get these fixations, and you honestly have to be really really careful. Really, it's not like questioning your own sanity, that's more a joke LOL, but when you write online on a site like Literotica, as a female, you really want to be very very careful.

DON'T ever use your real email, as Geronimo said, use a seperate email account created specifically for your Literotica userid. Don't ever reveal or link to any personal information that could identify you - real name, address, phone, photo. Absoutely nothing. It's a bit paranoid, but all it takes is one real nutter with a fixation, and you're a news article. Not nice to think about, but better to be safe right from the start.

My advice is make it a policy NEVER to reveal anything at all about the real you here. Better safe than sorry, and as long as you do that, you can have all the fun you like here. And it IS a lot of fun. I love Literotica, and my online Literotica friends :D

This is tremendous advice and your post should actually be pinned to the top of every page on this forum. I wish I could like it 10000 times. :D

Oh yes, and while we're at it, let's not even use the actual gender we were born with...

Absolutely correct on all counts. Same goes for someone like me, who posts photos and videos. Every time I am here I am extremely cognizant of the fact that I am taking an enormous risk. That's fun, up to a point, and beyond that point I have multiple layers of protection.

I'd add to this advice to always use Imgur, which strips away metadata. Be extremely careful of Skype, which can be resolved to show a location. Never share any photos with anybody here or connected to here that you've posted on social media, as those can be easily reverse-searched. Be mindful of showing tattoos, rings, necklaces. Be mindful of the backgrounds of your photos.

There is no such things as true safety in sexy internet land. Don't be surprised if someone finds you in real life. Be ready if they do.

This is why I won't be posting any public photos or chatting off site here. I DID however, recently share a photo privately with someone I trust and like quite a lot. ;)
