I have to say that Literotica has surpassed my expectations in terms of the number of reads and level of interaction.

I posted my first story here and I've got far more response that I'd expect to see in groups for any other genre. The enthusiasm has been really heartwarming - a Christmas miracle even :)

I've been enthused in turn, and my New Year's Resolutions are definitely going to include writing more for this site.

Glad you're having a positive experience!

One thing that bodes well for you is that you're accepting the criticism for your category choice/tagging without missing a beat, it seems. I think you're in the right category, because that's more of a trump theme than the non-con.

From the tone of the comments, I might suggest more explicit tagging ( and perhaps even a warning in an opening note ) but your numbers say otherwise. You've got an H and solid numbers everywhere else for a category that doesn't have a lot of traffic. I would still suggest more explicit tagging, but I see the potential for a warning note to be used as a signpost for trolls to attack the story unread.

( I only have one brief entry in the category, so I don't know the readership well enough to provide truly informed suggestions. It was technically unwitting non-con, but played so he never finds out it was a cross-dressing gay man sucking him off )

Anyway, you're off to a good start, and here's to hoping it continues to trend in a positive direction for you :)

I'm glad to see your success and really do believe you'll contribute some more great stories. Don't overlook the value of all of the readers who have added you to their list of authors they follow. Over time this list grows and you have an existing fan base that gets notices of every new story you post. Have fun!

Many thanks :)

Trans stuff has obviously become highly political over recent years, so it's natural that some people will want every story to be told the way that pushes their vision their way. They can go and write those stories. I'm just glad that lots of people appear to be having fun with the one I wrote.

Just to make sure it wasn't misunderstood, I meant "trump" as in "trump card" ;) Some themes have higher squick values than others, so even if a story is equally A & B, the "trump" theme is the one you should lean towards when making category choices.

Yes, I understood that :)

I was talking about the politics of trans activism which appear to be colouring some of the comments, transforming (excuse the pun) a discussion about a sexy-story into something more focused on real world trans issues.

It dawned on me that word is particularly loaded when you mentioned politics, so I just wanted to make sure. Common parlance seems to be changing at the speed of light, and I never know when I'm not keeping up. LOL
