Why are Nazis bad and Commiez good

They're both bad shitty ideologies. The world experimented with fascism in the 1930s and we realized it was a bad idea. The left is still obsessed with communism despite the abject failure that it was throughout the 20th century.

Communism/Socialism has failed every time its been tried and yet it still keeps coming around. Hitler murdered over 6 million 'undersireables' and is reviled by history yet Stalin and Mao combined did in upwards of 90 million and are still idolized by millions. The fact that so many keep falling for that sirens song is incomprehensible.

We're told by the proponents of those doctrines that every one else just didn't do it right. Very well, what IS the "right way?" These very same proponents start with the same proposition of 'giveaway's.' Perhaps I'm a little slow but it seems to me that you can't start from the same baseline and end up at a different destination. It's like starting westbound on old route 66 and expecting to end up in New York. The dream sounds good but reality keeps getting in the way.

The Soviets built their walls not to keep people out of their Utopia, but to trap them in. Similarly we see the blue states bleeding population and business's to the red states. These connections are inescapable.

Communism/Socialism have the same end-game. Read H. G. Wells "The Time Machine" or George Orwell's "Animal Farm" to see what it is. Wells throws you into it with mo preamble, Orwell fleshes out the steps. And yes, I do know that Orwell was a Socialist, but even he couldn't figure out an alternative path, he only critiqued the paths he saw.

And therein lies the problem. As imperfect as Capitalism is, and there is much to critique, every other path leads to something even worse.

The one thing the intellectual class that supports collectivism
is actually good at is repackaging and rebranding the
same old desire for crown and (secular) royalty.

Capitalism has really but one name which
the collectivists pretend pejorative
while they have to come up
with new tarnish veneers
to coverup failure...

A play on the old martial parable:

There is a mountain and at the bottom are many guides/paths.
All lead to the top.

With Collectivism, the parable becomes:

There is a volcano...

The achievements of Communism

bellisarius, Your comment ignores the difference between Communism and democratic socialism, and seems to be unaware of social democracy as an alternative to American casino capitalism, where the odds favor the house.

The only thing the record of Communism really proves is that a dictatorship is an inappropriate government for a command economy. Nevertheless, the Soviet government carried Russia from semi feudalism to the space age, while doing most of the fighting to defeat Nazi Germany.

Today, much of what you will find in a department store has been made in Communist China. The Communist Chinese produce better products than we do and at better prices.

Communist China is poised to replace the United States as the dominant country.

His tried and true go to is "Social" Democracy...

Nothing at all like Socialism.

Socialists don't vote.

:nods:

I think what he means is "pure" Democracy and that's always two wolves and a sheep
and when the sheep have enough "rams" then they become wolves too...
