It’s official: The Democrats have a Hispanic voter problem.

Support for the party’s presidential ticket among the voting bloc that was supposed to be a linchpin of what John B. Judis and Ruy Teixeira memorably dubbed “the emerging Democratic majority” fell from 71% in 2016 to 63% last year even as Joe Biden won the White House, according to the Associated Press.

"One important thing to know about the decline in Hispanic support for Democrats is that it was pretty broad,” top Democratic data-cruncher David Shor told New York magazine after the election. “This isn’t just about Cubans in South Florida. It happened in New York and California and Arizona and Texas.”

The situation in the midterm elections could get much worse for Democrats. Both parties were tied in the generic congressional ballot, which asks voters whether they would prefer Democratic or Republican control of Congress, among Hispanics in a stunning poll conducted for the Wall Street Journal. The Democratic share of the Hispanic vote fell from more than 60% to just 37%, with Republicans also taking 37%, while another 22% were undecided.

It's not so much that the Right is more appealing to them, as it is the Left being so much more appalling, which is the genus for the political wind.

This has been a problem since Bush II. How have the Democrats done since then?

To more and more people the Democrat Party is dominated by intolerably insane un-American people.

The election was only a year ago and Biden won the most votes in the history of the United States. Your wishful thinking notwithstanding.

A. "Got the most votes" doesn't mean "had the most VOTERS."

B. And, after less than a year in office, Brandon has;

  • More deaths in 10 months from Covid than Trump had in a year.
  • A looming war with Russia over Ukraine.
  • Americans still stranded in Afghanistan.
  • Defecting Democrat loyalists.
  • Inflation at its highest in 35 years.
  • Approval polls barely above the bottom of the swamp and still plunging.

Seems to me that the "wishful thinking" is on your part.

What else could it mean?

A =/= B. You assumed it does.

There is enough controversy surrounding the 2020 elections that making absolute statements like you did is akin to saying that no illegal activities regarding the vote occurred.

Whether it did or didn't isn't ever going to be proven, but saying it only shows your ignorance.

 Are you still beating that broken drum?! It does not show ignorance to say no illegal activities regarding the vote occurred. Trump's lawyers got 60+ chances to prove some did. They came up dry, the Cyber Ninjas came up dry, MyPillow guy's tech expert came up dry. In this instance, more votes does mean more voters.

Logic fail due to wishful dreams.

The Trump lawsuits were dismissed before any evidence was presented. They didn't have a "chance" they were defeated by politics before the starting gun went off.

I don't have a dog in the fight, Biden was sworn in and is President. Beyond that all I have to say is...

  • Inflation at its highest in 35 years.
  • Americans still stranded in Afghanistan.
  • Impending war with Russia.
  • Rising Covid deaths even with a vaccine readily available, including boosters.
  • Plunging poll numbers.
  • Rapidly fleeing minorities.

Oh, and:

  • I told you so.

There are no more new struggles for the typical American than there was last year at this time which isn't a good thing but it's also not the disaster that the Trumplitards like RAPEY want it to be.

Trumplitards take pride in America failing to "own the Libs!" It's pathetic.

What, you think 60+ judges were that politicized? Bullshit. Judges dismiss a case because there's nothing in it.

You cannot possibly -- in fact, you do not -- believe one bit of that would be going any better if Trump were still in the WH.

The GOP gains among Hispanics probably don’t change the dynamics of presidential politics that much. Big Red states like TX and FL go GOP and big blue states like CA and NY go Dem. But the trend is definitely positive for Senate, House, and state races.

He defrauded the American people. He ran as a unifier but instead he's destroying the future of his own party with statements, policies, actions, and a series of failures and debacles he didn't run on.

If I may add, a swarming invasion across the southern border from 108 foreign countries.

No one has yet discussed why Latino-Americans would be moving right. Something to do with their Catholic social conservatism, or what?
