How to Delete the picture from my Biography page

When someone goes to my profile and clicks on my biography tab, there is an old picture of me at the bottom of that tab. I have been unable to figure out how to remove it. I can change the picture next to my username with no problem, but I cannot get rid of that biography picture no matter how hard I try. Can anyone please help?


EDIT: I'm also seeing information here in my discussion forum profile that I cannot seem to remove. The only options that I find in my profile is to change my password and email and such. Where do I remove the picture attached to that profile as well?

Changing anything in your forum profile will be tuff, it's been down for years now.

I can't really help you on the author side as they have made changes that don't let you change that picture and I don't even remember how I got mine on there.

???? Some maintenance - the site was eventually switched over to https a couple years back. Seems to be just the barest patch-up jobs done.

The html source code indicates the forum uses vBulletin 3.6.11 which came out 2008 with a recommendation that it run on PHP 5.2.6

A vBulletin forum post states version 3.6.11 was not working correctly on php 5.3.2 (end of life 14 Aug 2014)

I have read that higher version 3.8.8 was not compatible with php 5.6 (release date 28 August 2014)

I am surprised the forum is still holding together. If it is running on a version of php lower than 5.3.2 then it would be in an exceedingly vulnerable position.

I strongly suggest great care in what personal information is stored and that login user and password combinations are not utilised anywhere else.

note the vBulletin forum website is not mobile friendly - so the platform is very old. The latest vBulletin version is 5 - I would imagine it would be impossible to update in one jump - it would have to be done in a series of steps along with the php version it sits on. It would be a time consuming and probably with lots of obstacles to overcome

It is not a public service website, it is privately owned and basically up to the whim of the owner. It is not a paywalled website and the subdomain forum generates zero income - thankfully no advertising. Not even advertising for their own online shop here on the forum.

The main website came online 1999, the forum came online 2001 - a long time for a site which may not be much more than a hobby to stay online.

The link for the forum profile options was changed. It wasn't a mistake or a software glitch. The reason... the story side profile was eventually going to be the primary profile.

Since COVID there doesn't seem to have been any work being done on either side of the site.

I recently had mine removed, hope this helps if anyone else is stuck. A short guide to deleting your photo in bio.
Open up create new story. Put title in all capitals REMOVING BIO PHOTO. Story text just maybe throw some praises to the mods on how you would like your bio photo removed. Same thing with your short description. Any catagory will do. Make sure you select English as the language. Agree to the submission agreement and wait 5 to 21ish days. They have lots of submissions already to curate but they definitely get to it. ^.^ hopefully this helps.
