That Christmas deadline for BBB is looking doubtful by the hour. Only 11 calendar days left. Manchin is sticking to his guns. His Democratic colleagues will probably have to choose between 10 year entitlements or their climate agenda. And they’ll have to reduce the price tag even further.

I’m going out on a limb and predicting House progressives will go bat shit crazy when they see what, if anything, gets passed in the Senate. At this point, the chances of anything passing by Christmas are near zero. And if it spills into next year, the odds of BBB might diminish further.

“Earlier Monday, Manchin told reporters he wants leaders to choose their “highest priorities” in the package, make them all last for a full 10 years instead of just several and squeeze all that into a measure costing less than $2 trillion. The legislation limits many of Democrats' priorities to just a few years to limit the measure's 10-year price tag.”

Anything more than nothing is an accomplishment towards Biden's agenda.

The longer it takes the harder it's going to get now that the CBO scoring is out showing Biden and the Democrats are serial liars.

Just like the ACA - we will never get everything the far left once, but we will get something that the left wants that isn't currently in place.

There are tons of beneficial programs in the bill that will end up being passed and all of them are ones that the Trumpies oppose.
