....done in sooner?

Me, I threw out all of my socks and bought just one type. Now, I'm never looking for pairs.

Now you.

  • French Press
  • Harmony Remote for all my entertainment bullshit
  • Nutri-Bullet
  • Smart home stuff

I'll second the sock thing.

I also tell the barber to use a #2 on the clippers. No fuss, no muss for two months.

I cut my own. Bought a cordless clipper years ago for about a tenner, stick the half inch gizmo on it and go.

i agree with johnny on the #2 razor. liberating!

i was cutting my own during isolation. it generally looked great in front and like shit everywhere else. plus, the barber shaves the neck with a straight razor and warm foam. a little aftershave.

love it.

To know when to say no. And not feel bad about

De clutter. If it has not been worn, touched or used for a bit, it goes out for donations.

The fella is literally sorting socks. He said this would not work here, but he applauds you, sir.

I agree with the learning to be okay with saying no. No, and I am done serving in that capacity.

Made In, 5ply pots and pans. They're like a dimmer switch on stadium lights.

Found a crossbow in a field once near Bradford, not so much a life hack, true, but its a hobby, relieves my stress.

i work out. everything feels much better. i'd highly recommend it.

That sock thing for sure. I had a bunch of different lengths and ages to deal with. Now they are all the same unless I'm 'dressing up' which I barely ever do.

I've gone though three or four of those non-stick woks over the years. They were my primary cooking pan/pot. I graduated to a well-seasoned carbon steel one a few years ago, which I expect to last me the rest of my infamous life.

Socks, did it years ago.

Pans, cast iron. If something sticks, use sandpaper if necessary. You can't harm it.

Fuck it. Did that 20 years ago. Near total isolation eliminates all the people caused frustrations.

Clippers. Did that too.

A few things!

A wok, for sure it’s so much easer to cook with.
Those Rubbermaid contains sets where all the lids match the containers.
My iPhone, and a TrapperKeeper..

socks are not socks. hiking socks are excellent to hike in but are cumbersome for playing basketball.

don't even get me started on hockey socks.

socks: definitely agree with this

clothes in general: I reduced my wardrobe to a comfortable style (with just little variations) for my daily outfit, so I don't have to rack my brain what to wear ... and especially in the living room, comfy beats stylish at any time.

tools: never again cheap tools from some fricking hardware store. If I only would get back the time (and money!) I wasted because of cheap tools. It says "buy nice or buy twice" for a reason!

not being totaly pedantic here, but thats not a Wok. its a frying pan with a glass lid.

I am forced to agree with Cuht. Woks, much like the style of women I prefer, are round-bottomed.

My wok is a carbon-steel one I picked up in Chinatown about 5 years ago. I regret not getting the bamboo-wrapped handles variety.

Also:

Put things back where they belong after use. You'll save about 5 years of your life not searching for misplaced items.

I agree with the daily wear sock thing, but there are other socks to be considered.

But, that's just common sense.
