Let's say for the sake of argument that someone was elected president who said "Hey, you know this country would be better with fewer _______ people. So, we're going to round up all the ________ people we can find and we are going to put them in camps and execute them."

Is there no policy that you can imagine where you would stand up for your rights? Would you allow the government to victimize anyone and just stand by? What if they came for the trans people? What if they came for the immigrants? What if they came for the homeless? Would you remain agreeable if the government policy was to execute gay people?

I am a peaceful woman, and I believe that there are a lot of alternatives to violence. But, there has to be a level of tyranny and oppression that we are willing to stand up against. If there isn't then we've learned nothing from history and are destined to face another atrocity.

I'm not saying that is where we are, or that violence is justified in our current situation. But, it is a legitimate question to ask.
