At the time, I was already kind of turned on by the whole thing, and I don't think she added to that at the time. Now that some time has passed, her being a witness to it seems to make the memory sexier.

IACT I struggled to tell it within Lit's rules...
So, my class (3rd grade) is working on a weights and measures unit. Today we were measuring things around the classroom. One of the boys asked me if I had a thermometer because he wanted to take my temperature. I asked him why he wanted to take it. He said because his dad had told someone on the phone that I was hot.
I'm speechless for a second or two as I try to formulate what I want to tell this boy. A girl pipes in that hot means his dad thinks I'm pretty, not that I'm really hot. She says some other things about her dad saying it about the girls on TV when he thinks no one else can hear him.
After gathering my thoughts, I steer the conversation back to 'hot' in this context meaning 'pretty'. Another boy says he thinks I'm pretty and he wants to marry someone who looks like me when he grows up. The same girl tells him he can't because I'm white and he's not (he's Latino). I called the resource teacher and our social worker to come help me because I was terrified I'd handle it wrong.
