Yeah buddy, ole Joe's fixed everything. The ports of LA and Long Beach are going to be operating 24/7......................maybe.

Getting those ships unloaded is about the least of the problems right now. Getting all of that shit out of SoCal. is the part that's going to prove interesting. The bottle neck now is rail. Getting enough inter-modal rail cars into and out of there is going to be a logistics nightmare. They can only unload that ships as fast as the two major rail carriers, BNSF and UP, can move the shit out of there.

Both UP and BNSF probably have enough locomotives to haul the freight, it's the rail cars that are in finite supply. ALL of those cars have to reach their final destination and be unloaded before they can be sent back to pick up more freight.

And once those cars do get to their final destination it's up to the truckers, and they're in short supply as well.

The point being is that there are three major parts to the problem and 'fixing' 1/3 of a problem is no fix at all.

I'll bet the Democrats are thanking their lucky stars
that this is not an election year.

"The Biden Who Stole Christmas"

Remember Dunkirk?

Maybe the Left can get all of their electric cars to the ports and save Christmas...

Good to see you recognize that the problem is a very complex one not easily fixed without a lot of cooperation between businesses and government (both parties involved as well).

The blamers are out in force.....the supply chain certainly is fucked.
Good thing 45 isn't try to fix it.... chuckles.

The supply chain fiasco is just another example failure of the market to allocate.

Well SFB, it's unlikely the problem would have existed to begin with.

Your point?

Covid occurred squarly in 45's term. I don't blame him.... not much he could do and in that same vane, 46's ability to fix the problem is limited. It's a world wide problem.

Presidents have limited abilities to fix economic problems. One cannot force folks to work jobs....so, why would you suggest as a solution? If you were running things?

The identification of the problem and resolution of that problem are two basic things. The question is to take each issue and see if the Administration is working towards identifying the problem more succinctly or towards resolving an issue......or are they taking actions against the issue?

So true. Government and industry working together to solve a problem wholly caused by the government. (And the local and state government(s) had as big, if not bigger, hand in causing the problem to begin with. I don't fault the Biden admin. for causing the major parts of the problem. I do fault them for letting it get this far.)

Here is a hint:. If I need to hire a job out(and get it done) I may very well have to raise the pay rate til I get someone in that job.

I do this all the time.

That only works until it's unaffordable, then you have collapse like we're seeing now.

Take the welfare away, stop taxing them into oblivion and they'll go to work. :)

And there you go, oversimplifying the issue. If you want to go down that road....the pandemic caused the issue. Governments attempting to respond to the pandemic may have exacerbated it, but we're doing so to address the issue of a public health crisis.

I'm so sick of the right's oversimplification of every damn thing in the world. The whole transactional bullshit is what dominoes us into the landmine of complexity down the road. Nobody benefits from solving "right now" problems that improperly take into account the butterfly effect of everything else.

The manufactured "public health crisis" was the justification.

But the reality is it was the almost entirely (D) driven government officials "Better lock down everyone but well connected/popular Democrats and then pay millions to not work with money we don't have!!" reaction to the "public health crisis" that caused the economic issues.

Not the virus itself, which would have gone largely unnoticed had it not been for the media hype machine telling everyone they're all gonna die if they don't hide in their homes with 8 masks on.

Your assertion the unemployment benefits will continually outpace private sector demand/payment for resources(labor) is 100% false and not born out by any rational economic model. Not surprised though coming from the uneducated medaling in educated.matters.

This assertion is also 100% incorrect....the world(almost all countries responded to the pandemic....the world is made up of a myriad of countries with very different political and economic approaches and the response to the pandemic was almost equally the same throughout....Dems do not have this power your ascribe to them.

The pandemic isn't a manufactured crisis. The media didn't declare it, public health agencies affirmed it.

The rest of your comment, based on that false statement, is irrelevant

Moody's and Buttigieg both agree that the Supply Chain crises will last for years.

That's going to help at election time.

I wonder who will benefit...

Who gets the blame?

No model needed..... it's an observable REALITY that is happening in real time. :D

When you pay the wage slave class to not work? They don't. DEMONSTRABLE FACT.

Not surprised though coming from the uneducated medaling in educated.matters.

How am I uneducated??

And how does your baseless ad hom attack do anything except undermine your own attempt to ignore reality??

Another TOTAL lie you just pulled out of your partisan ass.

Dems do not have this power your ascribe to them.

And another absolute denial of reality.

They do in their states, they did in their states, and the WH just got through claiming they have all the power and Joe Biden's decrees absolutely supersedes state laws.

Because you lot are a bunch of absolutely psychotic authoritarians. :D

The pandemic isn't a manufactured crisis.

No, it was the excuse for the manufactured crisis.

The antihill turned into Mt. Fuckin' Everest.

Most leftist are STILL CONVINCED you get liquified, 1000% death rate upon infection it's SOOOOOO deadly!!!

The media didn't declare it, public health agencies affirmed it.

Yes, (D)eez affirmed it and their media outlets hyped it until (D)eez felt comfy being as destructive to the economy as they could possibly be at every turn.

The rest of your comment, based on that false statement, is irrelevant

Says the partisan shill trying to avoid the FACTS to get another good lick in on those (D) boots.

Keep licking those boots buddy, I'm sure there is a great payoff in it for you.
