Idaho Gov. Brad Little vowed to rescind an executive order issued by fellow Republican Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin on Tuesday banning vaccine requirements while he traveled to Texas for a photo-op at the southern border.

Little had already issued an executive order in April to ban state agencies from requiring vaccines, but not schools or businesses. McGeachin bragged on Twitter that she had "fixed" Little's directive.

McGeachin's order came as the state grapples with an alarming shortage of ICU beds amid Idaho's worst surge of infections yet. Some hospitals in the largely rural state of 1.8 million people — less than half the population of Los Angeles — have been forced to ration care for the first time ever.

I wonder what business the governor of Idaho had in South Texas in the first place. Sounds like an appeal to xenophobia to me.

That's Idaho for ya. It's getting more and more fucked up every day with this kind of crap. Brad Little is actually one of the more sane and reasonable politicians in Idaho. There are (for example) several overt and outspoken racists on the state legislature- McGeachin being one of them.

Edit: and if you think "Disease is a bitch" then I hope for your sake you never find out how much of a "Bitch" it really is. Although frankly, because of some of the callous, selfish and utterly spiteful attitudes I read on here (Case in point: The post above this one) it would serve some people right if they DID get sick and die (or at least have their health permanently ruined, so they live to learn their lesson) because of this illness.

Idaho will decide if they want the mandates from (D)eez or freedom.

Considering just how red Idaho is, I'm betting she becomes governor.

Life and reality are callous and spiteful. Already had it, C19 barely even registered as "maybe some early allergies" because all I ever got was a slightly runny nose.
