Yang left, Manchin is being harassed, the subject of this thread is chased into the bathroom...
These are Democrats who won in Red States and the Democrat Progressive wing
is dead set on getting their seats into the hands of Republicans, even
if it means their targets become and run as Republicans.
Ideology comes first and foremost.
However, I love the Schadenfreude of watching the political cannibalism
that is being enacted by the more violent and confrontational elements
of the Democrat Party which condoned most of the antics of their various
outrage groups, woke mobs, peaceful protestors and college faculty/students.
To everything purge purge purge,
There is a reason purge, purge, purge...
I see this as an excellent way to keep many in line due to intimidation and fear,
but I hardly see what the attraction is for the Independent or more moderate
"Center-Left" voter. To a Libertarian it looks like the tactics of the Soviet.
But it is nice to see the turn about as Democrats (who failed to be outraged)
get to experience some of the tactics that Republicans (and their families)
have had to endure and it makes it so much better when your
President condones the behavior as "normative..."

I don't condone harassing public figures in any capacity, though I have no reason to be outraged...this has been the state of things for years, by dipshits from the political spectrum

We should start arresting and actually incarcerating those people before it's too late.
Everyone wants to blame the tone of the dialog on just the Republicans,
but I am telling you that the current (and recently past) behavior
of the Progressive elements of the Democrat party are the
true danger to the "Democracy" that they want to wrap
themselves in as a rhetorical device whereas if you
follow history, this is always the behavior of the
vanguard of totalitarianism. These types of
True Believers (Eric Hoffer) are frustrated
individuals who truly believe that they
(and they alone) will usher in a new,
better world, but they are always
taken advantage of by the
ruthless and ambitious
and end up worse off
than they were
before...
And they never care about how many heads they have to crack,
how many lives they have to destroy, or how many they murder.

I see in the news, in a (senility-driven?) 180º turn,
that he has vowed to fight the intimidation of school boards!
I do, rather suspect, that that is to give support to the Teacher's Unions,
the woke mob (who has him running scared), and the mandate thugs, er, "crowd."

I wouldn't hold Manchin up as being anything other than a bought and paid for proxy. The entire state of West Virginia has been bought by outside interests since it's unconstitutional formation.
West Virginia has five or six politicians and they rotate between elected, appointed and corporate jobs. Manchin is a Senator at the moment, because nobody else wanted to be.
In 2024 it will be his turn to head back to a corporate boardroom to make some money. Jim Justice and Baby Dog will replace him in the Senate

It's a little known fact that here in West Virginia we have TWO Senators. The husband of the other one is the money-man in our State's politics. He bought her the Senate seat as an anniversary present.
