As I always say: DO THE MATH. The amount of ice in Antarctica is just not that much compared to the surface area of the worlds oceans. And ice expands 11% by volume as it freezes, so a further reduction has to be done when we calculate the thawed volume.

At first they said the worlds ocean would rise by a foot, but when that failed to generate any interest, they said ten feet. That got some press, but not a lot, so now it is at 100 feet of rise. I came up with 6 inches...

It was the same with their climate summit. The cost of that was several trillion dollars, and all for...wait for it; a half a degree in reduction in 100 years time. That is just not a good enough return on investment. get back to me when you have a much more feasible plan.

There is more to sea level rise the just the volume of melting ice. Keep in mind that much of the world's frozen water is on land, but more significantly, liquid water expands as it warms.

The ocean currents are a cooling system that circulates water between the equatorial regions and the poles and as the temperature difference between the regions decreases the cooling currents slow down, so hotter poles cause less cooling - causes hotter oceans - causes more thermal expansion.


Plumbers know the science to this. Convection currents and water expansion are not fake news. So yeah. Do the math.

Sea level rise is caused by the rising average temperature of the ocean. As water warms, it expands.

We have the infrastructure to collect and process our trash. You also have to know what your limits are. Take California. Every year they know they're going to get a heatwave, but yet they can't keep the lights on. Then California can't do anything right. Wildfires across the globe are down. California can't clean it's brush to contain those fires.
