Let's start with the basics:

The Supreme Court was correct in not engaging with this new Texas abortion law that prevents abortions at the detection of a heart beat(around 6weeks).

Republicans are incorrect in their interpretations of the law and their wrong in their understanding of the Supreme Court's denial to hear anything....yet.

Well, Democrats are just as wrong in their expectations that the Supreme Court should have entertained this new law as a case. Sorry Dems....your being as partisan.as the Repubs.

You have to search far and wide for a correct interpretation and as I understand it....you need a plaintiff that was harmed(denied a Constitution right) by this new law. This has not happened yet...but it will.

And when that happens the Supreme Court will, in fact, hear the case if it meets the requirements to be heard and this Texas law will be taken down then.

This is how an unbiased(as much as it can be) court is supposed to work.

The Supreme Court made the correct decision and this abhorrent attempt by dark age religious folks will come to an end.

My analysis is spot on....you can deflect and try to trick folks all you want...they can choose for themselves.

There is no deflection in my post, just a revelation of truth and reality, which most of the time are extinct in your posts.:D

Um, no.....

The Supreme Court should have recognized the gaming of the system that the Texas law represented and blocked the law. The novel enforcement portion of the law offered a pathetic fig leaf for the five conservative and religious zealots on the court to hide behind as women in Texas incur injury from the law.

Chief Justice John Roberts recognized the game, or maybe it was just his turn to pretend to be non-partisan while the other five members of the non-representative partisan republican super majority did the dirty work.

The SCOTUS is broken, and is dominated by republican justices that were seated by the electoral college, and not the majority of Americans via the popular vote. Just another example of the how the electoral college is destoying democracy.

Awww someone's mad democracy didn't go their way. :D

It’s soooo refreshing to watch lorazepam sulk. Pisses him off to see true democracy flourish and states rights win.

This is a case where state's rights aught be thrown out. There are a lot of those tbh.

So you don't like having states.

At least not functional ones with autonomy to govern how the people in those states voted.

Why not?

He isn't wrong...the system should not be able to be "gamed" as he has said and as the Texas Conservatives have done. They are going to cause harm, cost a lot of folks(Texas tax payers) a lot of money for
short term "win".

It wasn't gamed.

Your side just lost.

That's a Texas problem, they voted for it, they get it.

Why do you have such a problem with democracy???

Disagree on how the Court functions I fine with....this ruling will get turned back.

I'll respectfully disagree on it being broken....I'm not so sure about the popular vote on this issue....I don't want knuckleheads like Bobo and company having any more say then they have right now.

So you just have a problem with democracy.

LOL

Authoritarian at every turn aren't you... :D

Your wrong loser dim wit...it was gamed. Don't worry though...I'll be the first to remind you that I said it would get overturned when it does...just like no guns at the State Fair.

Republicans legislating things you don't like doesn't make it "gamed".

You're just anti-Democracy.

Don't worry though...I'll be the first to remind you that I said it would get overturned when it does...just like no guns at the State Fair.

Overturned on what grounds??

There are guns at the state fair.

I'm guessing you're fine with the ruling because you're not a pregnant woman in Texas who was caught in the lurch. Women's rights in Texas are being violated every second this bogus law is allowed to be recognized as legitimate.

The fact that the dissenting judges did not do so "respectfully" should tell you all you need to know.
