The Problem:
I think the core of the problem is we have a very diverse and wide array of 330 million folks spread across the better part of an entire continent forming just as diverse array of communities with similarly diverse sets of needs.

To me it makes it pretty obvious that a 1 size fits all governance is NOT going to work without someone going all authoritarian and despotic. Despite this glaring reality, every 2 years it's a fight over who gets the federal bully stick so they can abuse the other, force their bullshit down the others throat. Force your brand of crazy nation wide because "FUCK YOU!!!" .

We've been at that behavior heavy for the last 20 years too, leading to the polarized and hostile domestic social/economic/political climate we currently have.


The Ideal Solution:
Preferably, but unrealistically, the ideal would be our leadership doing some sort of decentralization/reconstruction of power/authority so everyone has a home and we can all get back to living and letting live.

I 100% believe with all my heart and soul that much like good boundaries make for strong interpersonal relationships and good fences make good neighbors that good borders and authority structures make good, strong interstate/international unions as well as nation states.

This could happen in a number of ways that I think are totally rational, functional and would be a huge improvement for most people in their day to day lives. If you want more detail I'd be happy to share some of the ideas I've heard and had on the topic.

The likely reality:

We bicker and otherwise outside of the occasional loon who snapped, don't do shit except keep bitching and complaining, society decays until the USA is just another 3rd rate shit hole.

Worst Case Scenario:

People start seriously fighting back, things go kinetic, and fuck loads of people die grizzly horrible deaths and we blow right past 3rd rate fascist/socialist shit hole and "disaster area" to become a straight up "war torn" shit hole. The lowest form of shit hole possible.


Personal solutions:

If you're "ride or die" for your city, state and country? Well...prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

If you're more nomadic like myself, at the very least, get the fuck away from major metro areas and suburbs.
