U.S. airstrike against ISIS-K target in Afghanistan

.
I don't believe in avenging angels, so I'll just have to settle for that precision guided drone strike.

ISIS-K = ISIS-Killed

Hopefully the families of our service members and the Afghan civilians killed in the cowardly attack at the Kabul airport will take some solace from the quick retribution by President Biden, our intelligence agencies, and our military.

It only started popping up on cable news around 9:30 U.S. Eastern time. Only hit the news feeds an hour or so ago. I think I caught it early because I was looking for it.

Oh, wow. A drone strike...

I remember when those were bad things to the Left...

I guess times and attitudes change based upon who controls the administration.

It sure must be nice to be so sure absolutely everything is black and white like that. It'd sure make my life a lot simpler!

I thought they were bad things

to the right because

Obama…

I find myself wondering whether it was the Taliban who gave the US the location of the target. Perfectly logical for them to do so. But we'll never know for sure.

Of course they did. This isn't rocket science.

Edit: it also demonstrates to the Taliban what we would do to them

One drone, three people?

Drone Strike Against ISIS-K Killed 2 High-Profile Targets, Pentagon Says
NPR|32 minutes ago
Two targets — described as "a planner and a facilitator" in the Islamic State affiliate — were killed and one other person was injured in a drone strike in retaliation for the Kabul airport attack.

Maybe they don't gather too close together so as not to lose higher numbers?

Could be. Could be the same people who knew so precisely the what, where, and when of an airport gate bombing. Could be the U.S.'s own assets or the Taliban. The ISIS-K action has more of a negative effect on Taliban capabilities than on the United States.

The Pentagon noted these individuals were not involved in the airport bombing, but were known to have made such plans in the past. We could do these kinds of attacks all day if we had the stomach for it in the WH. This attack was Joe Biden trying to claw back a modicum of his presidential integrity.

A real President could have dropped the First Infantry Brigade (BCT) on Bagram Airfield, seizing every approachable corridor to the base from Kabul and everywhere else, put SpecOps teams in the field to go out and get American citizens, interdicting any Taliban opposition with the threat of artillery and overhead air support on their headquarters, homes, families, and villages. It could all be over in a couple of months.

if trump had ordered this, the deps would have been screaming his praise from the ramparts... biden gets it done? crickets or trolling

There hadn't been a American killed in Afghanistan since Feb. 8, 2020, until Biden took over. So, since then there was no need for Trump to do so. But Trump did kill thousands of enemy in the Middle East during his term in office.

so lemme axe this

in a day they KNEW who to kill?

why werent they then KILLED BEFORE the attacks?

I bet they just killed 2 goat herders for show!

Amazing how people who have nothing to do with the operation whatsoever ALWAYS know better than those with access to all the information and the ear of those in charge, isn't it?

It’s OK, we’ve accepted the fact that you’re a hypocrite.
