Btw, the original strains natural immunity was effective against the original strain more than the vaccine as well....it just wasn't as good versus Delta.

Just means it’s wise to withhold judgement until you’ve been exposed to critical reviews. By the same token, peer reviewed papers don’t necessarily imply perfect research methodologies and interpretations. Peer reviewed research deserves greater weight than preprints in terms of acceptance and validity, but you still should read the critiques. The jury is still out on the question of natural immunity vs. vaccination immunity vs. combination of both, but there is a ton of evidence suggesting a better T cell response from prior infection.

What I've seen so far from various studies is that natural immunity is stronger than vaccine immunity towards the same strain, but not near as strong for mutation strains. That lines up well with the reasoning behind the immune response towards the vaccine, which uses the spike protein as its basis.
