High heels

Hello ImiGirrst... A bare footed Woman wearing clothes is a sight to behold... But I respect you consider that gauche... So you've convinced me... Your first choice I'd still get groovy with, especially if it meant you enjoyed wearing them for a longer time...:)

Oh, don't get me wrong, let me clarify. I love being barefoot, and there are times that is the only way to be.

However, nothing irritates me more, and perhaps unkindly, than when I'm at a wedding or some kind of a function, and you start getting women taking off their shoes for a sizeable chunk of the event. To me, that's poor planning and cutting corners. You came in shoes, you're supposed to be in shoes, you leave in shoes.

Can't make it through the required hours in the ones you started with? Bring a different pair matched to the task. I'm not above starting in a rockin' pair of heels only to switch to a pair of bejeweled flats that I can dance in. But if you KNOW you can't make it for very long and you're still wearing them, knowing you're going to pitch them at a certain point? gauche.

A reception at the beach? Okay, if you hit the sand, there go the heels, because there is a certain practicality about your choice. But walking across the parking lot? Come'on!

Of course this is a long as your heels are still intact. I've busted straps, lost a heel, or even had the arch fall apart. Then all bets are off.

Hey ImiGirrst... Thanks for the clarification... I like your style and the fire in your belly! I do understand about a backup pair of shoes... My Wife has on occasion done exactly the same thing... Otherwise She has a relatively comfortable pair of heels (on the rare occasion She wears them) for the whole of the event...

Although I'll have to admit, and for completely different reasons, if I'm at an event where a multitude of Women are ill planned, the prospect of seeing so many barefoot Women in one place is the closest to Nirvana a sub like me can get... So if that's gauche of me, I'm guilty as charged...

So, you don't care what state female feet are in? LOL As long as you have feet, you're a happy camper.

Hey ImiGirrst... LOL:D... I find a good foot rub tends to ease the most battle worn feet into shape again... Generally though, as long as a Woman takes care of Her feet, that's usually a good sign She has beautiful feet... That's good enough for me...

By the way, have you purchased those aforementioned heels as of yet?...

I can see both sides on this...

A person today can view videos on youtube on how to properly walk in high heels, can choose to buy more comfortable pairs of heels from the start, and can certainly take ibruprophen to reduce swelling and take the edge of some of the pain...

Yet...

It is also kind of like parallel parking with a car. If a person has not done it a lot in their life, then it can be pretty tough for them to pull off. Its the same way wearing high heels at an event like a wedding. Myself...at my wedding...and goodness knows I have had enough of them...I want my guests to enjoy themselves and not feel compelled to hold themselves to a painful social-fashion expectation.

But all is not lost upon me: I think far too often a lady says, "oh, I cannot wear high heels", which is more of a cop-out then a true statement. In other words, they have given up before they started.

Saintdragonslayer sent me directions, so I'll see if I can post a test pic. These were the heels that were so comfortable that I wore them until they fell apart, literally. I just about cried when they died.

I had to laugh at how this post might sound, to some! The "directions" I sent to Imi were simple instructions on how to use Imgur for posting pictures.

I did NOT direct Imi to post pictures of her wearing her hot heels. I might identify as Dominant but I don't think Imi takes that kind of direction from any Guy!

I have no special interest in feet or heels, other than they can be a great part of the overall package on a woman, but I'm dammned if I just can't drag my eyes away from the killer calves in this picture!

As I said earlier, perhaps my attitude is a bit unkind, though I think everyone ought to be allowed a few foibles in this politically correct world as long as they don't harm another person. I don't make a practice of going around informing those who kick off their shoes that they've committed a fashion faux pas in my book.

And not everyone can spare the time to either look for a pair that they can wear for a while that will work for the outfit that they've chosen or spent the time practicing with their new acquisitions or any number of other things that getting in the way when you're making other plans.

*snort* I knew a guy twenty years ago who I would see once a year at a particular Nerdfest who called himself Dr Peds or some such - it was quite a witty name - but he used to spend the evenings offering footrubs to women cosplayers who wore heels. He got a healthy dose of getting his footfetish met and we got 5 minutes of much needed relief. Everybody Won! Best of a symbiotic relationship. I always loved when he'd stop by our table at the bar for a chat. Heavens I miss seeing that man at that event.

And no, I haven't - I've been waiting for payday. :( I have another rather sizeable purchase that has to take precedence.

*gasp* I didn't realize AT ALL how that might have been misconstrued. Sheesh!

Hey ImiGirrst... I applaud freedom of speech, especially from a sassy Lady such as you... That Dr. Peds is a man after my own heart... What a brilliant idea! Which begs the question... May I ask which character did you cosplay? Dare I say, do you have any photos?... I'll understand if you'd rather not... And no that wasn't reverse physiology...

Honestly... If I were an affluent man, I'd offer to buy those heels for you...

I don't have a problem with men wearing high heels. As I said earlier, the fashion itself started with men wearing heels in the early 1700's,, but the picture given shows men wearing woman's heels, and it looks like an unmade bed to me...it just looks off.

I think high heels on men MIGHT make a fashion come-back, but it would take heels designed for men, and not borrowed heels from the closet or their girlfriend or wife. Done well, I think there is a huge market to be tapped for the right fashion designed.

Me? Yeah I wear high heels. High heeled logging boots that is!
I don't know which picture you are referring too, but as a life long cross-dresser I am almost always in high heels designed for a woman, and they are mine, not my wife's. The fact that you have issues with it is your problem.

It would be interesting to do a poll and see what people's favorite high heels are whether mules, sling-backs, pumps, strappy heels, wedges, etc, etc, etc.
