What is this "New World Order"? And why does anybody have anything against it?

When GHWB used the phrase, he was only referring to the international relations scene of the post-Cold-War world -- as it was at the time; he was not proposing anything new.

Does it have something to do with the CFR? The Trilateral Commission? The North American Union? What?

Because we have a Constitution that forms and identifies our government, its structure, and its enumerate power, none of which authorizes becoming part of a one world government.

But, "one world government" is not at issue. What we have is international organizations with limited ranges of power, such as the World Bank and IMF, and a UN that is little more than a standing diplomatic forum.

The Constitution grants no power to our government to cede governing authority over the American people to any foreign entity.

Of course it does, if the Senate approves a treaty with such terms. E.g., there would be nothing unconstitutional about the U.S. joining the International Criminal Court, even if that might expose Americans to prosecution for war crimes, a thing we should all wish to see happen now and then considering our recent history.

But note there is no such treaty.

I note with some relief that nobody in this thread -- yet -- posits the existence of some shadowy cabal scheming to take over the world.
