Biles didn't get where she is by being a quitter so it's ridiculous to think she'd just up and withdraw without an overwhelming reason for doing so.

A teammate who deserves a shot, who has put in years of work, who is of international standard, will replace someone who is currently fucking up her landings. "But, bless her, she tried!" might give you the warm and fuzzies, but letting someone who is performing better take her spot might give you a gold.

Then in the Grand Champion competition, I beat the lightweight winner and then faced the same idiot and spanked his ass.

What “the twisties” are is akin to something like a symptom of vertigo while in the air. I had to take off work because I had vertigo. I’m not a quitter. The room was spinning and I was sitting still, smells would sicken me and I was constantly in a state of throwing up. I stayed in the hospital overnight and was ordered to stay home for the rest of the week.

She may have been there rooting her team on but, we can’t have a say in how she felt or what was going on with her. Only she and the doctors knows of the fine details. Everyone may have their own experiences of triumph over their adversities, but it is not up to others to judge the worthiness of another. Their road in life is different.

There was a time Katie Ledecky bowed out of a 1500 meter swimming race because she didn’t feel well. No one beat her down for her decision. Support was there for her. Athletes know their own bodies and their capabilities. Show the same consideration for an athlete who never left but tried to work through her own adversity to press on. This doesn’t make Simone better, but merely shows how support needs to be given for the physical and mental well being of all athletes.

People like you are the absolute worst you should be just ostracized for competing like that. 102 degrees and what over conditions? And in a fucking car I mean at least Simone was only risking her own health. She might break a bone but dying or even paralysis is so unlikely that its worth the risk. You are no better than a drunk driver because its better to die in the field than choose a better hill.
