earlier in july, some companies require it, like Adobe, VMware, Twilio, and Asana, but they didn't make such a big splash as the biggies now announcing 'get vaccinated or you cannot work in the office'.

facebook, google, google's parent company alphabet, netflix, lyft, doordash, salesforce

Netflix on Wednesday became the first major production studio to standardize a vaccine requirement across all US productions, requiring it for cast as well as crew members working in close proximity to them

other companies, like amazon and uber are requiring masks over vaccines, but are fluid and still considering options based on medical advice and history of disease-spread in their offices/places of work.
microsoft and twitter aren't signed onto this but, instead, are delaying opening of their offices and, in the case of twitter, even closing some down.

when the majority of the population are vaccinated, they get more say over the 'freedums' of the unvaccinated to bring health risks into the workplace.

now, if only walmart could see that their employees actually wear their masks right, covering their noses not just their vacuous gobs) and actually do something about enforcing customer refusal of entry/ejection for non-compliance with their strict health policies (should they ever be mandated again), we might be getting somewhere.

Butters....cheering on corporate authoritarianism.

LOL....a fascist. :D

Good thing you don't have to work for a corporation....just sit on the sofa and play Call of Duty from dawn until dusk and let that sweet sweet government welfare show up in your bank account each month. Teh Good Life, right? :D

You can't have a market economy without "corporate authoritarianism."

Good thing you don't have to work for a corporation....

I love how the control freaks go full on libertarian social Darwinist the second it's in their interest LOL

A corporation doesn't want to do giant dick cake for a gay wedding though? Holy shit, the hammer and sickle comrades come out with full federal gunz ablaze about how the federal government, not the buisness owner, needs to manage businesses for equity and diversity....to force them ALL into doing things the way they want. And they try to call themselves "liberals" LMFAO!!! :D

You can't have it when all of the stupid people are dead either, and there obviously are too many stupid people in the United States--more than just the board Trumpettes.

It's a good way for corporations to rid themselves of trumptards. Plus it pisses off conservitards so it's a win-win.

You dont beg for welfare because you already get it. Lol

About 40% of the public isn't vaccinated and doesn't plan on being so.

Ask your HR department if they can lose 40% of their workforce and see what they say.

Yes, Hitler-like Fascism has a firm footing in the American corporate world, so much so Butters has turned into a Creamery.

Most already have due to the lockdown. Wearing masks will increase the number of active employees but I wouldn't expect a wage slave to know that's how it works.

A bit under a third of my people aren't vaccinated (385 head count as of today), and we had a drive in May/June where we had Walgreens come in here and offer the Pfiizer shot to our people (97 partook at that time).

We have vaccinated badges - if you can prove you had gotten the shot, you don't have to wear a mask, just wear the badge and go about your day - otherwise masks are required.

We wanted to go to all required to get the shot, but our Attn'y at that time told us not to do that and to wait and see what the rest of the country is doing. As of now, we are looking to wait until after the return to school and then make an announcement that you must be vaccinated as of End of Month October or we have to let you go.

Everyone that we hire now has to be vaccinated. During the height of the pandemic we had 3 outbreaks here and shut down for 2 weeks each time. It go so fucking bad we were running almost 7 weeks out on orders. Feeling from the owners to us CXO's is that we're not going to risk that again when it becomes indoor time. So either get the jab, be a productive member of society, or good luck finding another job. Both business groups I belong to as well as the word spreading throughout the local area has the same sentiment. It's time, put down the tinfoil hat, and stop being an asshole.

My 2 cents.

 When did I get welfare??

I have never applied nor received any welfare....I didn't even get any sweet COVID bucks.

WELL....not directly, Amazon collected a fucking shit ton of them for me, but I digress.

What welfare do I get Phil?? My bank statements say otherwise.

She'd say it'll hurt now, but if start the hiring process a month and a half out and look for vaccinated candidates only, we can make it happen and not have anything other than a blip in our production.

Fire 40% on the spot, no one does that.

Replace 40% or the rank and file over a 7 week window? Not a problem.

LOL, right. We're like madmen trying to find one or two engineers. What happens whey we're looking for 100-200, particularly when we tell them they have to get a vaccine they don't think they need?

If they don't think they need it, they're not very good engineers. Engineers pay attention to science.

There are good reasons to delay or forego the vaccine. I'm waiting because I have natural immunity from having COVID, for example. Getting the vaccine too early may have adverse consequences.

Democrat political ideology =/= science. ;)

So much for "my body, my choice," eh? We're starting to see the iron fist in the velvet glove now. Not surprisingly, DeBolshevik leads the pack with his statement that we are moving out of the voluntary phase of things now.

That right is for them and stuff they like....not for anyone else and things they don't approve of.
