So an idea that I’ve had is people who aren’t related being put in a situation where they need to pretend to be a family…but their roles get swapped around or the group just can’t keep up the facade anymore.
1. Three witches (setting would be pre-industrial) decide to operate a farm only problem is: women aren’t allowed to own land where they live so using their Magics as well as some Magics that aren’t theirs they make a man by binding a demon in a body. He’s hard-working and the townspeople accept him as the true owner of the farm. The only catch is: the demon is bound into the role of Father and husband and to keep it from realizing the truth they need to each play a role: one the wife, one the daughter, one the sister in law, baby, mother in law, oldest girl, etc.
One advantage they have though is that the demon’s memories about the witches reset each day (which is why one of the witches’ roles are always a variable) so they can change their roles. The demon is otherwise a fine companion and lover.
…but what happens when one of the witches get pregnant and it’s her turn to be in the daughter role? Or what if the demon decides the third witch is the baby and strips her save for a diaper right before company? And what happens when the reverend stops by?
2. A group of actors get paid to film a reality show where they play a family but their roles are constantly switched. What’s more, as time goes on, the actors start to give into their lusts while also believing their roles for the day. What is the point of this strange show?
3. There’s an old man who is filthy rich but his family died long ago. His nurse hatches a scheme: she knows some friends who can pretend to be his family in hopes of getting him to reveal where he put his money. The scheme seems to work but the one thing they didn’t realize is that the old man and his family were engaged in all kinds of taboo acts and now the friends are going to have to simulate them…what’s more, old man will only tell his wife or oldest son where the money is so the group turns on each other and starts actively switching roles so they can get the money.
Of course…the twist could be that old man is not as senile as he appears and was taking advantage of the situation.
4. Grandma always kept a large dollhouse in the basement that was a perfect match for her mansion. After she dies, the family comes together to help clean the home. The little kids get herded downstairs where they find the dollhouse and that there are dolls for every surviving adult in the house. So the kids start playing with them and as the dolls move from room to room and change partners, the adults upstairs start taking on different roles and start feeling attractions they never felt before.
