I get those too - because some of my stories are femdom. That rouses some anons to fury as it challenges their masculinity. Women can be abused, but a woman abusing a man? That's irrational and totally unacceptable.

And, of course, because I try to bring some logic and sense to the Politics and General Boards? I'm an anti-American communist left-wing radical who should be shot.

If absolute rubbish is so bad you need to delete it then I fear your skin as thinned over the years.

I wonder though...if this person does this once a week or so and you always delete it, what would happen if you left it there? Maybe he'd keep adding them weekly, but it would be an interesting experiment

I left several there for months. My skin isn't thinner but my tolerance is reduced.

Adverse comments that have some rationale? They'll be left. A random campaign by a single anon against any or all of my stories? Just sod off!

If it was other than from anon, I might reply.

I am dying. My eyesight is failing. Writing stories is becoming more and more difficult. I have no patience anymore with an anon who can post nothing but negativity, not acknowledging the work that every author puts into placing their work on Literotica.

Yes, I could disable all anon comments but why should I? Many anons are either complimentary or offer helpful criticism, but anyone who can only hide behind anon to comment 'absolute rubbish' is an asshole and is better deleted.

Before I turned off Anonymous comments (too many racist remarks), some Pakled was bellowing in all caps on my Alexaverse wall about me hating white people, so everyone should rally and zero out my stories.

This slope-headed misfire from daddy's willy was screeching about me hating white people, when the four main characters of the story he was commenting on are pretty much Aryan gods.

There has to be a decided deficiency in oxygen reaching your brain cells if you can read my stories and I think I hate white people. Granted, I do hate on incels, and the Alt-Right, and bigots in general, but that has nothing to do with one's ethnic or national identity. I just despise voluntarily devolved human beings.

Seriously. You can't read about my character Mike (or Karen), and think I hate white people unless you're REALLY stupid. He railed on about the story being garbage, my other stories he hadn't read yet were garbage, and if he ever met me, he'd kill me, blah blah.

Not a lot of vitamin D reaching these guys in their mom's basement, is there?

I feel for ya, Ogg. Apparently true liberty is the freedom to be an absolute piece of crap. Anonymous readers like that prove it.

And no, I'm not bashing all anonymous readers, many no doubt have good reasons to not be registered and hide who they are. Not all anonymous commenters are cowards, but all cowards comment anonymously. Big difference.

I think you belong to a pretty nifty club if you've compelled a Pakled to explode in vitriol on this site. It's not hard, but if they're bothering us, they're not going after other people who may be vulnerable. Think of it that way.

What these Ugly Walking Bags of Mostly Water don't get, the more they trash me, the more I know I got an emotional response out of them from their reading my writing. Their anger says I hit a nerve hard and that kind of reaction says my writing is good.

They have issues, it dredged those issues up, what can I say? My goal is to have people experience my work, not just read it and say, "Well that was interesting." "That's was nice." I want them to love it or hate. And when natural born haters hate it, well I'd like high ratings, but a reaction is a reaction.

I have begun to delete hateful anon post, but not the ones where they keep their handle visible. Best to know and track what they say. Were I vengeful bitch, i'd use their handles for some nasty people in stores. If I were vengeful.

OH speaking of Star Trek, the Ugly Bags of Mostly Water is how the little thing should read.

Go to your Control Panel, click on Works, click on the story, click on the speech bubble, find the comment, click on the bin. Comment deleted, gone.

Yes, I try to ignore hateful and stupid comments (I post in Loving Wives, so you know what that means) but would like to zap a few of them.

Thanks to your instruction, I now just delete the individual comments from the real idiots. I agree that (rarely) a reasonable comment is posted anonymously. Also, I don't delete a negative comment if it contains anything constructive, but Loving Wives stories get lots of really nasty trolls and I have no patience for them.

I think he also comments on my stuff. But on mine he has to have an ID to do so. It got deleted. Didn't even look at his ID.

Yes. Some anons have commented that although they liked the story they found the premise unbelievable. I can understand that.

Wasn't it William Gibson in the 1984 novel Neuromancer who predicted that computer access would make people increasingly alienated and uncivil to each other? I'll have to get that book and check it out.
