Did you make the clothes you're wearing? did you build the house you're in right now? what about your food and water, could you obtain these independently?

You have a think about all that now.

What the fuck are you blathering about?

Actually no, don't bother answering.

No. Yes. Yes. No.

Comshaw

1) What clothes? It's freaking hot out lately.

2) Yes, and the house I built is well-insulated and takes advantage of passive night-time cooling. Not this cheap stick-frame crap.

3) Yes, and almost everyone in my neighborhood has their own well, power system, garden, and farm animals.

When I need a doctor...I go to a doctor

When my car needs fixed...I go to an auto mechanic

When I need a plumber...I call one up

That is known as intelligence. Why should I sew my own clothes? Or build my own house? Or grow my own food when I can get someone that is better at it than I? What you are describing is not being humble...it is you...a fucking pathetic loser...desperately trying to make your self feel superior to others. Have a think on that

Humility is an herb which doesn't grow in the garden of the GB.

Just sayin' . . . .

I meant to post more in this thread but I got dragged away.

This thread was just an attempt at making a thought provoking point about how most of us like to think we are masters of our life and destiny but in reality most of us just meander through taking EVERYTHING for granted.

Even the basic necessities of life, clothes, shelter, food and drink wouldn't be so plentiful and accessible to us all if their wasn't a capitalist profit motive to provide it, but at the same time if it wasn't for workers these things couldn't be produced.

This is something that people on both sides of the ideological divide would do well to have a think about.

It reads more like a sheltered, upper middle class teenager trying to be deep.

If I every find myself in that situation---,
I look for people JUST LIKE YOU, hahahahaha

Here's something profound for you to chew on.

Labor is prior to, and independent of capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. A. L.

Here's something even more thought provoking. If ants and bees didn't exist, neither would you.

Next time you see a bunch of ants and/or bees whilst gamboling in the park, you best swallow your bipedal organism sass and thank them for their service in stewardship to Gaia, by gum. *fist slams on desk*

To add to that, Labor has become so specialized, that most people have lost the basic labor skills for survival. They may know how to do their little specialized job within the vast machinery of society, but would be lost if they had to build adequate shelter, repair their stuff, or produce food.

This shift took place in the USA within the last hundred years. Now we have a bunch of obese people spending hours on social media, complaining about government trying to keep the big machine working in a way that benefits everyone.

Ironically, some of the people who complain the most about government trying to keep people from falling through the cracks are the same people who would be the least able to fend for themselves if their capital was suddenly worth very little due to inflation or economic collapse.

A broad set of labor skills is more important than the images of dead Presidents on paper money. And, putting these labor skills to work every day will keep you in better health than obsessively posting and consuming social media.

Profoundly stupid.

Labor without capital assets is pretty low value.

Tell you what: you go dig up and transport some copper ore your way and I'll get a venture capitalist to finance me a 2.5 million dollar haul truck and a multi-million dollar shovel.
