WASHINGTON (AP) — Split along party lines, the House launched a new investigation of the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection on Wednesday, approving a special committee to probe the violent attack as police officers who were injured fighting former President Donald Trump's supporters watched from the gallery above.

The event has already been (and is being) investigated by a variety of agencies. Several of the people involved in the tactical decisions that day have already resigned.

The rioters are being held accountable according to the rule of law.

There are the fantasies (held by both sides) of secret conspiracies and they'll stay in the realm of conspiracy theory.

Passions ran high - no mystery as to why (the vast media stoking them to sell ads).

People got stupid (which happens all the times in mobs).

If LWs were running this show, wouldn't nailing Rhodes, etc., be a top priority? If he's getting any protection, it would have to have a RW source.

If the left/Deep State was running this show they would take this opportunity to forever destroy the Oath Keepers by indicting and destroying Rhodes, but that wouldn't be the case if all along he was a government agent provocateur within the group who could destroy them with his testimony if betrayed.
