Is it permissible to mention in a story that a person lost their virginity before they were 18?
Yeah, what NW said.
The last two stories I posted have both been sent back for things that weren't what they said they were. Things that a year ago would not have been questioned. Things are tightening up.

Yes you can. I've done it a few times and I've seen it in plenty of other stories also. Just like what a previous comment mentioned, as long as it's not described or eroticized, then it's ok.
Also, another rule you should know in case it comes up, apparently you can't artificially age an already known fictional character. I recently had a story sent back to me where I had Suberboy (who is 16 in the comics) have sex with Wonder Woman on his 18th birthday. But even though I made him 18, I was not allowed to artificially age him because he is currently 16 in the comic books. Apparently they did their research when I submitted that story and saw his current age.

Isn't 18 year old Superboy Superman?
You also can't use characters from current copyright material.
