Far-left progressives who advocate radical criminal justice reform policies like "defund the police" claim abolishing traditional policing systems will benefit minority communities.

But according to a New York Times report, Hispanic and black communities aren't buying what far-left Democrats are selling.

The results show the majority of black and Hispanic voters, two groups of people Democrats assume will support them, are more moderate than progressive Democrats assume.

"[A] growing body of evidence indicates that large numbers of Black and Latino voters may simply take a more centrist view on the very issues — race and criminal justice — that progressives assumed would rally voters of color to their side," the Times reported.

Thousands of blacks have died rom the direct and foreseeable effects of BLM's thuggery

Dems in purple districts hate the defund to police crowd. AOC and her pals helped the GOP flip quite a few districts last fall.

That's because defunding the police falls hardest on minority communities.

That's the battle cry of the white Liberal in a safe enclave...

To be fair, a lot of them, and with some considerable justice, see the police as a foreign hostile occupying force, not there to protect and serve them at all.

Well with Democrats brainwashing them into believing that dumb fucking shit it's not really a wonder how that happened.

The whole messaging has always been confusing to many. But that's because the right jumped on the phrase and cemented it....so it doesn't matter what type of reform is being suggested in regards to.restructuring budgets to better appropriate responses to events that don't require a police presence, it will always just be seen as removing police all together and taking away their money.

Democrats have educated them to believe the law doesn't apply to them. Democrats have convinced them they can steal and harm people with impunity because they're owed reparations, that white people are the enemy and should be harmed because everything they have, they gained at the expense of black people. They're told by black academics that cops are oppressors employed by white supremacists who need to be attacked and killed wherever possible. That is why the cities are blowing up. It's all very simple.

Those are all lies. Any blowing-up results from homegrown frustration, not from any academic or political teachings.

Unsophisticated inner city people learn from their experiences and the anti-white propaganda they are drowned in. Experience shows them that when they riot, loot, and burn, they aren't shot and killed like they should be, and when arrested, they're immediately released with no bail, with the charges dropped later. Rioting, looting, and burning, is a win win for them in there short term perception.

Don't see what they "win." All a riot ever accomplishes is to damage the rioters' neighborhoods. Maybe you can take home a little store merchandise, but it won't change your life.

All the while destroying themselves and their communities.

Kind of ironic. When you look at news reports before the Biden administration it was all about people being racist towards blacks. The unfairness of law enforcers. Take that out of the equation and look at what we have left. A community that is killing itself off.

And they still don't think there's a problem.

Well, it never does seem to kill itself off.

Too many of them only see the here and now. They take home a lot of merchandise. Many are unemployed and on welfare so the thought of job loss due to their behavior isn't a factor.

What they don't understand is, this string they're pulling on can destroy a city as a viable economic environment for business, period. At some point you simply cannot do business. Insurance companies won't cover you if you try and reopen in a dangerous part of town. We all know what happens after that, it starts all over again somewhere else. When law enforcement is neutered and forced to the sidelines, yes, barbarians truly are at the gates.

I'm wondering now if Portland, New York, Chicago, can really come back. The point of no return may very well have been reached in those cities, especially New York.

If the point of no return was never reached in the 1960s, it won't be reached now. That's when the real rioting happened.

I wasn't alive then, but I know for a fact the police had power back then. Even the military was used in L.A. when I was younger and before. The first Watts riot was put down with military force. The Rodney King riots in L.A. were eventually stopped by federal troops.

This latest round of civil disturbances never rose to the point where a military response would have been appropriate, except on 1/6.
