Right-wingers love to accuse the rest of us of not understanding basic economics...but they almost always accompany that with a clear signal that they don't understand it. She's absolutely right, that relationship is not very elastic at all.
 
Raising the minimum wage never does seem to lead to unemployment or a wage-price spiral, though you could reasonably expect it to. Of course, it increases labor costs, but it also pumps money into the consumer economy wherever it's implemented, so on balance it's a benefit.

You wouldn't expect it to if you've ever run a small business. It is nowhere near as simple as the ShyBiGuys of the world like to pretend it is.
