Endless Ends

It seems there was a reason I was so tired last night.

I hab a colb.

Uck.

:(

Take your vitamin C and Zinc then, all you can do now is palliative care and ride it out. Feel better soon... and since you'll be having to take it easy watch something cool on TV.

Ah, thanks. :cattail:

Mostly I just sat around and binge watched Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple. Possibly the oddest casting in the history of movies, but once you get past the shock they are rather entertaining.

But still odd.

So, so odd.

😂

She always seemed like an old lady version of Columbo. I have no idea how she was portrayed in the books, but I really liked her in the movies.

I hope you feel better. :)

Margaret Rutherford or Miss Marple in general? Geralidine McEwen was the best Marple, imo, but most of them kept relatively to the flavor of that soft, innocent looking, village dwelling, little old lady with a mind like a sink. Except Rutherford. She's a *small beer* swilling, rout the the constabulary, brash kind of Marple. Who won riding and fencing championships in her youth and now tackles mod dancing when needed.

She also has a sidekick. :D

Rutherford's real-life husband.

I am feeling somewhat better, thank you.

She also played a hot maid once. And I’m not Gaslighting you. ;)

Lansbury and Bergman.

Yeah, she played in some swashbucklers and such as well, quite the looker in her early career and aged well.

Don't forget The Picture of Dorian Gray! Such a stunner. I think I've seen her in some Roman stuff, too.

(That would be the technical term for movies you can't remember the name of where people wear togas/tunics. :p)

Serial killers bow before the murder rate of Cabot Cove

That's why they had her start traveling. Decimated populace. :D

Ugh. Day two of this whatever it is involves mild fever and a dreadful headache. I am settling in for another binge watch with a cold rag on my forehead while I consider felo-de-se.

Kidding.

About the cold rag.

:p

Anyway, if you haven’t decided on that Halloween costume, this one could work.

<pic snip for brevity>

*gasps*

I…wow. That…umm…checks some boxes.

-Is it too young for me?
-Could I pull it off?
-Would it show off my legs?
-Could I explain it to my companions?
-Is it inappropriate to wear in public? On Halloween? In New Orleans?

-Absolutely! 😂
-Not sure.
-
-Depends on who goes.
-Is anything? :p

Maybe the *kitten* isn’t entirely dead. Not entirely sure how I feel about that….

There was another rather attractive (and more modest :p) costume suggestion in my PM box that looks interesting. If I can come up with a non-copywritten pic I will post!

Damn, I thought it was some dark kind of sex thing. Le sigh

I think your definition is better. :D

Welp. This little cold/virus/whatever think has proved both annoying and lingering. STILL have a slight fever and sore throat. As I spent several hours today coaxing staples out of 100 year old wood, this was inconvenient.

On the other hand, the fever made it easy to zone.

I'm taking that as a positive. :p
