Italian artist sells invisible sculpture for $18,000 that "only exists in his mind"

Fraud is an artform.....and the foolish are always easily separated from their money.

I recall an episode from Britain in the early 18th Century, around the time of the South Sea Bubble. Somebody solicited investments in a commercial enterprise said to be very important, "but nobody to know what it is." The speculator collected several thousand pounds and skipped town.

The ultimate art would be to resell it at an auction, based on the last owner's name as main value point.

"There's the omni-famous Y' unique invisible sculpture only existing in artist's F mind, first sold to mr. X. As you all know, Y acquired it right before [some incredibly unimportant event] for three million!"
