Hi there,

I am incredibly curious about the lifestyle. When I first started my sexual self-exploration, the idea of sharing a partner with others or forming relationships with more than one person was very intimidating. Lately, however, I have been doing some research and general thinking of ideas, and am finding myself gravitating toward ENM.

If you have any resources, advice, etc..... please share!

It seems to me for a fairly comprehensive treatment of the subject you are getting curious about, you better read a book on the subject, not just a short overview. Thank you for the book recommendation! I actually already have it on order...should be here today. I got some other book recommendations from a podcast I have been listening to, as well.

I haven't progressed much, personally, at this point. It is all theory and research for now. I think, with COVID and the slow reopening of things, I have been forced to not be impulsive and jump in too quickly. I am so intrigued by how many different types of relationships people have within ENM- everyone seems to "do it" differently, even within the lanes of swinging and polyamory. I'm not sure which of those I gravitate toward more, but I know that forming connections with another person (or people) is very important to me. Whether that will go more swinging with FWB arrangements or the polyamory path, remains to be seen.

It's all rather exciting and I hope to figure all these things out with an open mind, but not a naive heart.
