Since my recent returned to active participation on Lit, this thread has quickly become one of my "Must reads!".

I admire your work with both words and photographs.

The defense of my carefully chosen words is the well known saying - "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."

We may disagree on this, but I'll stick with my use of "magnificent" to describe that poem.

In what is said and un,
Assumed
Guessed
Extrapolated...
From choices made,
Even the amount.

Sometimes, I feel in control,
Can tell that what I’m saying means exactly what
You’re reading...
Other times,
I use these answers
Which could have a myriad of possibilities -
And yet,
Without words
Without the background of consonants or vowels
Without a coherent sound,
You still read me:
A book left on the table
To the page in our language.

See the lines creased
Feel the pliable contents,
Petals worth of pages laid out,
Understand each
And know
‘Forever’ or ‘Always’ is spoken
Without a whisper between us.

the rope, the words, the photo, your body. everything here is beautiful.

Your poems often produce a complex set of reactions from me.

You paint images with your words that fill my head.
I feel emotions such as love, passion, comfort, safety, sorrow and many others.
Sometimes I even hear sounds such as music, a beating heart, or the patter of rain.

And always, your poems make me think.
Two different trains of thought I often encounter from your poems are:
(1) what exactly is she saying?, and
(2) those times I have had similar thoughts or feelings.

This latest poem has kept me very busy.
I have re-read it a dozen or more times.
Each time I have a different reaction, from the same words.
This unto itself is a bit unsettling.
I believe that with each reading, a different line is sticking with me and becoming my focus.
Just when I think I am discovering a unity of thoughts, images, emotions and a message,
I am torn away a different direction.

Maybe this was your intent.
To make me think.
About the words written, and those unwritten.
About the words said, and those unsaid.

I need to think about that.
