How long do stories take to become public?

I'm new and I just submitted my first story about 24 hours ago. How long is the norm for a story to not be pending? Am I allowed to keep submitting stories even if I have a pending story?

I've submitted 9 stories so far. None of mine have ever taken longer than five days. I think it varies due to the number of stories submitted by other authors and the category you submit under.

I agree... 3 to 5 days.. now it is the weekend it will wait until next week - but that is okay, then it is on the 'New Story' list for next weekend.
Hopefully with a few comments to get it on the commented lists..

Sometimes longer if the end of a competition and Laurel is swamped with last minute competition entries, non competition stories will get held up.

No worries it will get there. Keep an eye on your profile works...
Click on the story and they will confirm a release date, once they have you queued in.

Yes you're allowed to submit as much as you want.

Also, I learned this early on, if you submit it by uploading a file it will take far longer than 3-5 days.
But if you copy and past the story, it will take 3-5 days, in some case it may be shorter.

Just to say my 2nd story has just been published & took 2 days to be approved. My first story took 2 days to get kicked back, then another day to get approved.

Because the question is about the delays in publishing it here, not requesting feedback on the content of the specific story(?)

You can easily find it yourself if you're interested in reading it.
