Enny, have you read any of Joan Vinge's works? The Snow Queen -1981 Hugo Best Novel.

Enny, have you read any of Joan Vinge's works? The Snow Queen -1981 Hugo Best Novel.

I have not.

But it looks like it might be interesting. I do rather like books that play on previous works, and Vinge seems to get all around applause for her world building.

(Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, for anyone not paying attention. )


I’ll check it out when I dive back into the reading pool.

I never enjoyed playing Scrabble, but this made me wonder if it’s possible to play only using words with sexual innuendo. It could either make the game more fun, or it could end prematurely

Raunchy old ladies are always fun. And I love the name Colton Amory. Where do authors come up with names like that? If I ever write a book my hero character will be named Brock Stalwart.
