Federal Judge Amy Jackson on Tuesday ruled that the Justice department memo used by William Barr not to prosecute Trump must be published with respect to his Russian connections. It was previously redacted by Barr as 'legal' advice. The Judge has ruled that it was substantially strategic political advice and not legal advice at all.

At the same time Guiliani is under pressure with regard to the Ukraine nonsense. His former boss has no protection to offer him going forward, so the temptation to flip is growing.

Watch this space; it might take a year or two but Barr's carefully expurgated version of Trumps conduct and particularly the redactions of the Mueller report are slowly but certainly unwinding. ;)

In other words you're an idiot if you think Trump will ever go to jail.

I get the feeling you are ready for a wager. :)

Remember, "jail" means any time at all behind bars, including a holding tank before bond is issued. Not necessarily the walls.

This asshole will get arrested at some point, and when it happens, he will do a perp walk.

Jackson tells us what we already knew: Barr is a liar and a Trump flunkie.

I said a night in jail. He won't. Ever.

The truth doesn't matter to our Fascist traitors. There is only one way to deal with them...allow states to leave the country.

I have several hats. I will eat one if Trump ever spends a single night in jail.

You may prove to be correct in that particular respect but working through and exposing every tiny detail of corruption, however slowly, however difficult, is still vitally important. 60 million voted for Trump in 2020. It would be a major success for American Democracy, if through exposing all the malfeasance, piece by piece, bit by bit only 10 million would be prepared to admit they had so voted in 10 years time.

It will take a lot of effort and a great deal of time, but the reputation of Trump, his heirs, and political allies will eventually be destroyed, with his base as well as his opponents. And that is much more important than Jail time.

He will.

He can't help himself. He obsessively doubles down after he commits a crime, and he has so many followers now doing the same thing. When you are that defiant of reality, you eventually invite fate.

Some prosecutor somewhere will snag him. He will be booked and spend at least one night in jail. The world needs to see this.

Do you want fries with that ?
I think it's unlikely he will do jail time ,but with all that is gradually coming out about his administration the odds against him going to jail are getting smaller .

We don't know what's in this memo yet, nor do we know what's in the reports it covered up.

It could be incriminating or vindicating.

I also suspect the memo will be a next to nothing. That is a pattern the media has engaged in for a long time "this piece of evidence is the smoking gun", which never quite materializes. "our anonymous sources tell us...". If anything, it should just encourage a healthy sense of skepticism.

I think there were a lot of people who invested a lot in the Russian Collusion narrative, which never materialized the way they wanted it to. Like an investor who holds onto a losing stock by telling themselves "it's going to turn around".

As far as "the noose tightening" I tend to think the opposite - the farther behind us the Trump Presidency falls, the less likely anything significant will come out of the investigations. The Mueller investigation was the "best shot" and it came up empty in terms of criminal behavior. (Plenty of indications of obstruction, but no smoking gun there either.) Sometimes you take your best shot at the dragon and miss.

The problem there is that it happened. Everything has all but been confirmed more than once. Mueller simply said it was out of his hands to Prosecute ... that Congress had to do it.

This obsessively arrogant dragon will give us many more opportunities.

Yep. The guy never escaped his fundamental nature, which was an asshat. He'll certainly continue to be an asshat, but just not a criminal asshat (yes, and increasingly unlikely as he fades).

Well, what the Mueller Report said has been obsessed on here (and many other places). At the end of the day no evidence of conspiracy with the Russians. Which closed the door enough that only a handful of media outlets are even bothering to try to keep it alive.

I think part of it is this - being anti-Trump became almost the reason for existence for some folks. Some media folk made their name in that role. Now that he is no longer President, some of them are having a hard time letting it go. (The same holds true for people who invested a lot in being anti-Obama, Anti-Bush, Anti-Clinton, Anti-Bush, Anti-Reagan - hell, even I still don't like Jimmy Carter for personal reasons.)

This^ , and the fact that the traitor in chief's toady didn't allow Mueller to investigate the traitor in chief's finances; including connections to Russia. Meanwhile the corrupt GOP house and senate blocked/obstructed investigations and the impeachment efforts. In fact, every agency from the IRS to the state department was complicit in shielding the traitor in chief from legitimate congressional investigations.

Not fully investigating the traitor in chief and holding the POS criminally responsible for various actions is either a giant olive branch to moderate republicans or a capitulation to the right wing terrorists.

I'm keeping my eye on New York and Georgia to see if authorities are serious about pursuing criminal charges against the one term loser, twice impeached, traitor in chief.

It doesn't matter what the judge does. Mueller himself testified under oath that he found no evidence of criminal activity by the President and testified the OLC memo had nothing to do with his findings. Watch that part of his testimony where he corrects the misunderstanding of his previous days testimony in regard to the Memo. It's all there. The narrative is phony.

Not one of these morons can identify one criminal statute Trump violated while he was in office. They hung their hat on obstruction of justice during the Mueller report, obstructing justice for a crime never committed and yet Clinton did indeed commit a crime or two, deleting subpoenaed e-mails, violated statutes on the proper handling, storage of classified material.

We

Know

The

Truth

Fuck
Do you read the news?
‘rump is Putin’s Bitch
He had been for decades
“America First” is all about Russia FIRST
Putin’s Fist is firmly up his meat puppet’s ass

Barr? He’s a paid stooge!

BARR was supposed to do it!!
He covered it all up
Hang his ass up!

I think this is true, because Trump just can't help shooting himself in the keister. He just doesn't seem to be wired to accept that laws apply to him.

Trump cloned himself into an autocratic movement in the USA. Every autocratic movement needs pseudo-intellectuals like you to give their movement plenty of breathing room to grow and replicate.

Manafort passed campaign info to Kilimnik. That is solid evidence of collusion. And it’s been reported by more than a handful of news sources.
