Thanks for the advice. I somehow stopped short of submitting. It's pending now, but I doubt it will be reviewed on time for publication by Monday. Damn. I could have used that extra time to do additional editing.

No problem, easy to forget to press the button sometimes.

Reviews are a bit slow at the minute which is why I put mine in earlier than usual on Tuesday night (UK time).

Yes, I put it in the notes to admin, but not as a tag, which I now regret. Not sure if they can be changed subsequently.

I still looks to be doing quite well, and anyone on this thread knows it's a part of it.

Mine has been officially reviewed as, "That was very hot and fairly well-written." Which feels 85% complimentary, and 100% accurate (beginning is a little weak, but deadlines are deadlines).

I'm quite frankly gobsmacked by the response. I've had more ratings on it in two days than any other story in the four+ years I've been on here.

Current ratio is about one rating per 42 views. My usual ratio is over 200 views per rating.

1. Why is the full list only in Erotic Couplings? That doesn't seem fair to the other stories. I thought the link was going to be in a box in the main menu like the Valentine's Day stories.

2. Like everyone else, my voting ratio is much higher than prior to two months ago, and I still can't figure out how you guys can figure out the 1-bombs when they land. So far my votes seem to fall into historic patterns. There are just more of them.

3. The voting/rating between want is on my home page and what is in the EC category don't jive. The category is lagging.

4. I'm not complaining, but I rarely get comments. (Now, don't swamp me guys <smile>). I don't know if that has any meaning good or bad.

Shit, I don't know. I'm enjoying the stories I'm reading from everyone else. I still it is unfair that the entire list seems to only be in Erotic Couplings.

It was pretty obvious in my case. I was at something like 4.88 with 9 votes. Two more came in and I was at 4.55.

If your recollection is right, then with nine votes you had 44 total stars voted (9*4.88, rounded) and with 11 votes you have 50 total stars voted (11*4.55, rounded). The two new votes gave you six stars, which could be two threes, a two and a four, or a one and a five.

You didn't necessarily get one-bombed, but starting with a score of 4.88, the single most likely vote would be a five, so the second was probably a one.

Laurel may post the list more than once, with subsequent announcements in other categories. If it were to go on the main page then it would probably bump the April Fools contest off.

The category pages don't update as frequently as your home page. Sometimes the category pages update very erratically.

Unless your story is in LW, comments are usually fairly rare. The easiest way to get comments is to make some glaring mistake early in the story. Otherwise, you need a lot of views to expect many comments.

Mine is on the second page of the new story listings. That's pretty much a death sentence.
