Wow. This is beyond fucked up. The kid took a shooting stance towards the officer with a toy gun. The officer shot and wounded the knucklehead. The kid GOT BACK UP, pulled what appeared to be a knife out and charged the officer. The officer then delivered a killshot.

The airsoft gun used, I believe, is a highly accurate replica of a real handgun. Sounds like the kid wanted to get shot, especially given the behavior with the knife.
Thanks for pointing out is isn't just one side that goes bonkers. It is a problem everyone should be discussing.

Oh, I'm sure the cop could have raised an index finger and asked for a time-out while he inspected the lad's weapon and queried him on his intent before firing. And he'd be dead if it was a real gun held by a wannabe killer.

Que can repeat this as often as you like, but the video plainly showed a thirteen year old kid with both empty hands in the air in the universal symbol of surrender who got fatally shot in the chest by a trigger-happy cop.

He had a gun at his side in his right hand. He brought that hand forward with the gun in it. Unbeknownst to the cop, he was tossing the weapon behind the fence, a few feet away. To the cop, it seemed like he was coming to a firing position.
It was a good, but tragic, shoot.
