the summer olympics, sure. i like seeing all the weird sports you never get to see like volleyball, handball and all the track and field and swimming shit.

but the winter olympics can fuck off forever for all i care.

I might watch if athletes performed wearing only jockstraps or sports bras (as needed) in homage to the original Grecian games. The Special Olympics and Paralympics would be more entertaining that way, too. National teams would be identified with flag-embroidered collars and/or tattoos. Winners would have their medals tattooed on their arms and/or thighs.

i enjoy the olympics. they have the ability to carry it off safely, and it looks like they are taking good precautions this year to make sure they can have it this year. being broadcast around the world, the countries coming together. i always get emotional when the athletes walk the world's flags.

The only sports followed in this house are strongmen events. WSM, The Arnold's, etc. If someone isn't rupturing and bleeding from their face from the effort, it just doesn't appeal.

Winter Olympics, definitely like.

The worst part of the Olympics is the horrendous TV announcers, usually NB fucking C. They are utterly useless!! Their actual camera coverage is good, but the announcers are complete morons and sock puppets.

I've traveled a lot for a living and have had the pleasure of watching the Olympics from the standpoint of different countries, and the announcers form those countries, and it is always FAR SUPERIOR to USA announcers and much more unbiased.
