Weresquito: Nazi Hunter (2016)


That’s right.

This is the eleventh film of the Mihniverse, the first flick of which I reference in post…eh, I am too tired to go search.

Oh, boy. This is, actually, WONDERFULLY DELICIOUS. Pure 50’s homage. Monochromatic filming, with the exception of crimson red splashes for de bloooood!

-Potential Romance?
-Mad scientist?
-Weird nicknames?
-Baaaad wigs?
-Hysterical special effects?
-Twist ending?

Got. You. Covered.

The budget on his films seems to ride the 10k line. Impressive, and really surprising how well this one delivers. He overlaps actors between films in little easter egg moments. Fun. The surprise ending might be the best part. Oh, my.

Do yourself a favor and watch it with the subtitles on….

I first saw Pyscho after having just seen the real house on the backlot of Universal Studios tour. Somehow that made it even more magical and began my love of Hitchcock.

I saw a meme last year that said: if you think 2020 is bad just wait until it turns 21 and starts drinking.

The Spiral Staircase: I love the ending. I won’t give it away but Ethel Barrymore in that last scene . . . I loved it!

Also, if you ever need to make a fire (or learn a ton of other survival skills) Survival Lily is the person to watch. I’m currently obsessed with watching her channel.

Attack of the Moon Zombies (2011).

Another of the Mihm universe films. *waggles eyebrows*

Oh, my. This one is right up there with Weresquito: Nazi Hunter. Entirely different, but still full of awesome-y goodness!

-The heroine’s quarters look like a 50’s style bedroom.
-She has - on the moon - a record player.
-AND A ROCKING CHAIR

-She also wears high-heeled boots and sexy nightgowns.

-There’s a copy of a To Serve Man laying about. (A nod to an old Twilight Zone episode.)

-It boasts some intensely compelling dialogue:

“Get a hold of yourself, woman!” - said man to woman.
“Shut your trap, woman!” - said woman to woman.



But best of all, it’s an all out "inter-species cross-pollination" plant zombie attack!!!


I have not lived in vain.

^^^Record players have made a comeback and there is a lot of talk of building a station on the moon, so this may end up being historically accurate.

I’ve also wondered if the carpet bomb approach to PMs works. Especially the ones that are just links to porn sites. I guess they work or people wouldn’t do them. I also wonder about telemarketing—does anyone really talk to them?

I started running again.

Why do I mention this? Only because it relates to what I am going to say next.

There’s also this little matter of running outside. I like inside training. It’s a nice stable environment - no surprises. What outside running I’ve done has mostly been on ground cleared for le foot traffic.

This whole running on country roads thing is a whole ‘nother ball game.
