I know they hate the people, so that's one reason. It just represent the ultimate destruction and failure of a society. It is unsustainable. My state legalized weed. They are predictably taxing it out of the range of affordability. The black markets should do great, thankfully. But, they want to use the resources (LOL) for UBI. Fucking assholes. Look. Focus ion ANYTHING that will afford people the ability to achieve financial independence an individual prosperity. For example, don't shut down large energy projects that provide his paying jobs and basically shove 11000 people on to unemployment.

You truly are a histrionic bitch.

I don't care. It is a concept of failure by hateful people. The billionaires want UBI to reduce competition. I assure you, there are no billionaires in my community.

Here luk is pretending "progressive" Democrats don't run around supporting UBI. :D

Next up, he pretends no (D)'s ever supported nationalizing any part of our economy.

Not many billionaires choose to live in trailer parks.

You do care. So much so that you created a thread about your outrage only to be smacked down with the facts.

We have more billionaires per capita in Canada, bobo. Probably less trailer parks and definitely less poverty. All around we are a better country to live in.

Stay there, by all means. Hey, do you think you could pitch in and take a few of these little brown "immigrants" off our hands? You're a compassionate people, right?

I will, I prefer the land of milk and honey to the land of rape and murder.

Hol up, Rrrrramone. You paid more in taxes to build 45's wall. What happened? Why are there so many brown immigrants?

I mean, Alaska has had a UBI for (permanent fund) since 1982. I guess they hate their people. But haters gotta hate.

Yes...ding, ding ding. Canada has a lot to offer.

The USA isn't as great as the hype for sure.

So what if California is filled with a bunch of homeless bums and sad migrants.

No, the fact that Democraps are destroying the USA and trying to make the whole country as backwards and corrupt as California makes Canada a better place to live in.

You're still poorer and shittier....a low brow wannabe USA.

Universal Basic Income. Money for lazy fucks.

To be clear I'm not sure I'm for it, not until I've done a lot more research anyway. But you're against it because "Libs" and "socialism" two of the far rights instant trigger words. Without a whit of evidence that it's detrimental or that it will be harmful to the nation or the recipients, you oppose it. I think you don't like it because someone else might get something you don't. Nothing like jealousy as a motivating factor.

Dems love it because, as with all Democrat initiatives, it puts the power in their hands. And they love power above all else.

What power would the Dems have over the 'Tards if UBI was passed?

You really don't think before you type, Dud.

I'm ambivalent about it. Handing out "Free Money" sounds all well and good, "yay, free money." But it's not sustainable, will create huge deficits, lead to a culture of dependency, discourage people from seeking permanent work... basically as much as I WANT to support it, it just will not work. The idea of a functional fiscal government is, you want people paying into the system, not being paid out of it.
So, while some of the far-left Democrats are pushing for it, the moderates are not- and while I've defended a lot of Democratic party policies before, I can't really defend this one from an intellectual standpoint. Even though, free money is always nice.
