But that's okay with me, I didn't suffer any financial fall-out from the pandemic response, and I hope that tiny part of my taxes goes to a needy family who did suffer.

Normally, I like to think of my lifetime tax contribution as paying for one cruise missile fired in the First Gulf War that missed, slammed in a sand dune, and scared the the crap out of some camels and a lone Bedouin camel herder..

Remember that the money is all part of a hoax. The new economic devastation policies will jack up gas prices and everything else. The result is that next year if you maintain the same standard of living the 1400 dollars will just cover inflation. So what you may have lost due to your business or job being wrecked is not going to be covered at all. Then the inflation will become even worse and before long 1400 will be the cost of a loaf of bread.

For those of us that don't get it because of our income, we not only don't get it but we also get to chip-in and watch the Biden syndicate take credit for giving people stuff. Nice racket. Rob people and then give it to other people like it is a gift out of their purse.

Same, I actually saw a "boost" last year because of it.

Everyone got their garden on hard last summer, as such, a lot of people in related industries like myself had a blow out year in 2020.

The only thing that bugs me is that the bureaucracy got more of that money than the people did. A more significant portion of that money going directly to the people would have been better imo and would have made me happier as a tax payer.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, added her name Monday to the growing list of lawmakers and advocacy groups calling on President Joe Biden to fire two Trump-appointed Social Security Administration officials for allegedly sabotaging the effort to deliver relief payments to millions of seniors and people with disabilities.

In a statement, Jayapal (D-Wash.) said it is "appalling and outrageous" that SSA Commissioner Andrew Saul and Deputy Commissioner David Black "have delayed the delivery of survival checks to 30 million Americans."

"In delaying these payments, Commissioner Saul and Deputy Commissioner Black have shown a profound contempt for the American people and are unfit to continue to serve in their roles at the Social Security Administration."
