For decades presidents from both parties believed that nothing could be done about the morass in the Middle East unless the "Palestinian Crisis" was solved. And then along came Trump. He, along with his advisors, clearly saw that the issue revolved around Iran, not the "Palestinians." No one in the Mid-East gives a shit about the "Palestinians." Not Egypt, not Jordan, not Saudi Arabia, not Iraq. Just Iran who was using them as useful idiots.
Now that the parties in the Mid-East are tentatively joining hands in dealing with Iran the "Palestinian Crisis" has been relegated to the trash bin of history, where it should have been years ago.
Right now I'm somewhat surprised that Biden and his team haven't tried to resurrect the "Palestinian Crisis" again. Perhaps it's because when he tried to get together with Iran re. the nuclear deal they told him to go pack sand. Or maybe because the other parties in the Mid-East have zero confidence in the Biden administration and his people have realized this and are treading softly on the issue.
Regardless of the reason the "Palestinians" just aren't getting any love from anybody now. Maybe, just maybe, they'll get their shit together and and start behaving like civilized people.
