During last year's quarantining, I put off getting a haircut for a couple of months, and then I just sort of forgot.

I now have aquired enough mane to hide my balding spot behind a man bun.

So I guess that's a...win?

Win?

Maybe. I think about all you'll get for a prize for it is the ability to use the 3rd bathroom without anyone thinking you're in the wrong place.

Bic Bald VS "Man" bun

To boost your "class" rating from 17 % to 18.3% I recommend that you amputate the "Man" bun and go Bic Bald.;)

It was last year or maybe the year before someone on this site said a "man-bun"
was synonymous with a 'asshat'....
I'm not necessarily in agreement with such an assessment--, however with a name like the one you chose, I just can't believe a word you say (or write.)

[this thing quoted the wrong person, it was supposed to be quoting the O.P.]

My grandmother's cat

My grandmother's cat once barfed up a fur ball that looked like a "man" bun. So I feel traumatized every time I see a guy with a fur ball on his head. And for the record, they look horrible on most women too. In fact, my grandma had a bun and I am pretty sure that is where the cat got the idea.

As I have previously opined, if you have a man bun and are not a samurai, you look like a twat.

Definitely.

Think of all the sunblock you won't waste up there now.

Men are not obliged to dress foranyonebutthemselves, but...

^^^ this is usually true. That said, The Ape's hot friend pulls it off. Probably because he's 1, hot to start with, and 2, only doing it to get his hair out of the way.

nope, it's a loss. Anyone that wears a man bun is out of touch with reality and definitely has no clue what is "cool" or "in".

They were only "in" for a month at best.

now, they're just ridiculous

Why would anyone care about what's "in" if they've found a practical solution to long hair getting in the way? Is everything you do dictated by fear of judgement from the herd?

I'm already ridiculous. And no I ain't gonna bun it. That takes actual work.

To be fair, practical solution to long hair getting in the way, would be scissors.

Unintended consequences.

I think i inherited that from my mother.

When that happens it is usually large, spectacular and very, very Bad for someone!

I was told twice on Thursday that apparently having a side part (as a woman) shows you're of a certain generation and that a middle part is back.

I laughed. As someone with thick, naturally wavy hair, a middle part leaves my hair looking like a pyramid on my head.

You do you, Liar. I'll be over here with my side part. :rose:

such an attitude is to be expected of the grasshopper class, a true samurai can wear an alice band should they wish to. obviously the big fuck off sword helps deal wihen dealing with small minded critics.

The samurai is a well-trained, highly skilled warrior. The samurai serves his daimyo, or master, with absolute loyalty, even to the death. In fact, the word samurai means, "those who serve." The samurai is a member of an elite class, considered superior to common citizens and ordinary foot soldiers. Alice band or pony tail.

Ah, so that's what that was about. Was mentioned on a morning show about the part but I missed the what. Thanks.

I'm about 22 months without a haircut. It's long, curly, and glorious and will hopefully get cut in May...

Everything was great until they had to start monetizing their rice stipends during the Tokugawa period. Nearly 250 years of relative peace didn't help them either.
