Need Some Input on Chapter Length (Gay+Fetish)

Hi all! I started publishing a serial story recently, and I got a comment on one of the later chapters that they thought the chapters could be longer. I'm a long time erotica reader, but I usually read on Nifty (where the length is hard to tell, since it's always on a single page) so I'm afraid that I'm out of touch with what the "normal" length for a chapter is on Literotica.

Should I be cutting the chapters longer than where they are currently cut? I'd been using 4 pages (on my word processor, not Lit pages) as a minimum amount for a chapter, and then trying to find relatively reasonable spots for the cuts within that guideline.

And finally, if I do decide to change the chapter cuts, is there anything even resembling a reasonable way of switching everything out, or should I just scrap the whole project and re-upload it from the ground up? (Which I would like to avoid if at all possible, since I feel like I've gotten fairly good engagement so far, and it would be a shame to lose that.)

We have no idea how.long a page on your word processor is.
A page on Lit is about 3400 words. Lit readers tend to like at least double that in a chapter.

My experience is whatever your chapter length, don't change it much from chapter to chapter once they think they know what to expect.

Agree this. There seems to be a sweet spot for chapters of around 2 - 3 Lit pages (8k - 10k words).

Oooooh. Yeah, that's definitely way off of what I've been doing. The overall story is a little over 25,000 words currently. So I guess I should really be sitting at around 4 chapters, which is exactly half of what I currently have. I've also been varying the chapter lengths pretty significantly, just based on the flow of the scenes, rather than on a particular length. Here's what I have currently:

1. 5728
2. 2533
3. 3544
4. 2930
5. 1758 (This one was clearly especially too short, and it doesn't have a cumshot; I got raked over the coals on it ratings-wise, so that's clearly a no-no.)
6. 2580
7. 4147
8. 2065 (Length on this is probably too short again. Won't know what people think until it goes live. At least it's a sex-heavy one.)

Is there any reasonable fix at this point, or is it pretty much stuck as it is? I can start changing the way I cut the chapters from here on out, but with 8 chapters already uploaded, that's a pretty significant portion of the story.
